Pine Creek Golf Club
About
Pine Creek Golf Course is part of the La Plata Communities in Colorado Springs. The course winds through the Pine Creek Valley, providing a lush and varied landscape. The course sprawls across high plains grasslands with abundant trees and lakes coming into play throughout. The seemingly gentle terrain has tricky undulations that total over 375 feet of elevation changes. The front is a canyon-style nine while the back is more of an American links design. There are creek beds coming into play on nearly every hole as well as strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers stunning views of Pikes Peak, the Front Range, and the entire Colorado Springs skyline. At Pine Creek there is also a unique elevated, target-oriented grass driving range, a practice green, and a short game area.

A heavy frost covered the vegetation as the maintenance crews blew out the sprinkler system as we played. This is the tee box of # 11. Photo submitted by skibumcolorado on 11/21/2013
Very expensive drinks and over priced course for conditions.
Course conditions were not good at all. “Sand” traps are just full of rocks no real sand in them. Fairways are not in good condition at all.
Bought 2 Bloody Mary drinks with an upgrade to Tito’s vodkas and they were $52!! Total overpriced drink and not much to them to justify it.
Great Course Under Drought Pressure
First of all, I love this course. From a design and play-ability standpoint, this is one of the most underrated golf courses in the Colorado Front Range.
The good:
1. Pine Creek is challenging but fun (for this old man) from the white tees
2. The views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range are unparalleled in Colorado.
3. The greens were receptive and reasonable.
4. The weather, perfect
The bad;
A. They've had to raise greens fees to stay profitable. Therefore, to save money I only play with member friends or with a GolfNow tee time
B. The clubhouse menu is sparse and pricey
C. This course (and almost all the others in the area) are starting to feel the pressure of the drought. The rough is overgrown and the fairways are starting to show brown spots.
All that being said, if you haven't played Pine Creek yet ... you owe it to yourself to do so.
Not Very Good!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt I needed to do so here. Booked through GN at $90 each. Arrived at the course and course looked dead. Greens looked good and were in good shape. When I went to pay I asked the young lady (who was very nice) if the course was bad as it looked? I said it looks dead and a lot of dirt. She said it isn’t dirt, but a lot of the grass is dead. Hmmm! I had already paid and I wasn’t changing her mind.
Fairways are filled with dead grass and dirt.
Greens are in really good shape.
Pace of play was great because no one else would pay to play there.
Workers were very nice!
Just a deal where they should inform you on how bad the course is. The back 9 is a lot worse than the front.
First time playing
Great layout and was very fun to play. Had a few tough driving holes but the course seemed gettable and our group was making some putts. Only complaint was the traps were mostly terrible and not fun to play out of but other than that I would for sure want to pay it again.
Fun Course
This is a fun course to play. Greens and fairways in good condition.
LOWER YOUR PRICE PINE CREEK!! TERRIBLE CONDITION
WORSE COURSE IVE PLAYED ALL YEAR!!!
It truly baffles me that pine creek is somehow getting away with the prices they are charging, while the layout and views are undeniably amazing. The grounds keeping team must of made a mistake, roughly 16/18 holes are burnt. It truly looks like either a chemical or fertilizer burn went through this course. For $50-$60 sure it’s fine, but as an avid golfer that plays through it out Colorado sometimes 2-3 times a week this place is by far in the worst condition.
Give me a call if you’re looking for a new superintendent because it is flat out embarrassing!!!
Should be amazing in a couple of months.
Amazing views. Excellent layout. Great team of people working there from proshop to starter to marshall to beverage cart service. Bunkers could benefit from some serious maintenance. Course appears to be recovering from their well pump failure. Greens were sanded, but the ball rolled well. Keep at it guys. Expecting it to be amazing when we return this summer.
Stay away
Played this course and it is in terrible condition and still asking 102.00. We will not play again. Sad because it used to be in great shape.
Great back 9, rough front 9
Back 9 is in very good condition for early season, but the front 9 is burned out and super dry right now. Range is still on mats only. Cart path only as well if you’re riding. Bunkers remain subpar with regards to maintenance, mainly on the back. Reservation was for 2 people, $95 each ($190 total) but the front desk also tried to charge $235 total until I showed them the receipt from my golfnow reservation. Make sure you get the correct pricing when you go.
Way too much money for the course
The price you have to pay to play a course that's subpar & cared for like it's a city course.
Under winter rules
Bare minimum services provided!
No drinking water away from club house.
No cart girl.
No Rangers.
Cart path only.
No water in ball washer.
Only one rake around bunkers.
Lip service from staff when these items were brought up.
I will not play here again.
