Nice test
Only played this course once before and I still find it challenging and enjoyable.
Fall golf
Aerated greens terrible. Pace of play always always always slow no matter what course.
Great Course.. But annual aeration made putting tough
I know the golf course has to be aerated. Fine! But, do you have to drill 3/4 " holes 2" apart on the GREENS ! to effect aeration? I know our municipal course tried that a few years ago. It took 5-6 years for the greens to recover. So, please use the narrow drill tips next time. It will be a while before the greens become true again. What a shame!
Great Local Course
Green Garden is kind of our home course. My son and I play there regularly. As always the course was in good shape and the range officers did a great job of keeping the game moving even though there was a large outing going on before we got there. The staff had always been exceptionally friendly.
Good time
Had a good time, only complaint is no cart girl on the back 9. I called the front desk and said they would send her over. She never came, if I knew I would have drinks at the turn but thought the cart girl would be out but never did.
Poor layout
Setting up the course for a busy holiday weekend should prioritize pace of play over course difficulty. While I certainly enjoy a difficult layout, it took over 5 hours to complete a round for our group of 4. We typically finish a round in well under 4.5 hours, however, numerous pin placements made it difficult to reach pins and added a number of putts to the round. A typical round is approximately 32 putts, but on Monday there were 40 putts due to a number of downhill putts that led to 3 or 4 putts. Hole 1 was absolutely atrocious and I’ve never seen a worse placement in a round in 30+ years of golfing. If pins are going to be placed downhill they should not be in a location that no matter which direction you putt, the ball rolls back down off the green when it come s less than 6” short.
Cart paths are in terrible condition and need to be repaired.
Rainy weather caused a cart path only day. The condition of paths added to the misery of wet course.
Worse yet, on 2 holes, the grounds crew were spraying pesticides using a tractor on the fairways WHILE we were playing!
Nice course
Mini outing in front with a 6 some made it slightly slow. Maybe why it was a hot deal
Only 1 Complaint...
My only complaint was that it rained heavily the night before my tee time so it was cart path only! But that had nothing to do with the course, maintenance and its staff which were all Fantastic!! I will definitely be back and look forward to playing the course again!
The course is good but pace of play
Pace of play major issue played first 9 holes in 3 hours. Has to wait to get a golf cart before we could start and then when we got to the first tee two groups in front of us had yet to tee off. The tee times are also 8 minutes apart which is part of the issue.
Great track, great value
Bummed I did not know about this place until it was nearly time for me to move. Good greens, great bunkers to play out of...
Condition!!!
Green Garden offers the gold course, blue course and an executive type course. We played the blue course from the tips measuring out to around 6400 yards. The weather was WINDY. The course was in beautiful shape, Tee boxes were mowed nicely, fairways were well manicured and the greens were wonderful with very few ball marks, if any. Greens were a little fast but pretty straight forward. Some sand and water to add a little challenge. The staff was very friendly and the bartender was extremely nice and talkative. They really cared for you having an enjoyable round. Can't forget about the young man waiting in the p-lot with a cart for you when you pull in. He took my clubs and loaded them on the cart. A small simple gesture for a small tip to add a little touch to the round!!!! Way to go Green Gardens!!!!
