Gateway National Golf Links

This was our first time playing Gateway. Enjoyed our experience. Rare to see bent grass fairways and tee boxes. Loved the tee boxes. Have to make quality shots to play from the tightly cut fairways. Nice, but just different than most courses in the area. Greens were in good shape. Overall good experience at the cost at a fair price for an afternoon tee time.

Very nice course with a decent layout if you like links style. Pace of play is always slow since its very busy. Best fairways you'll ever hit off of though. Very high price compared to other courses though. Worth playing once or twice.

Golf shop staff and cart staff very friendly, course in good shape. Great views of the St Louis Arch from multiple hokes. Would play again

I have nothing but glowing reviews for Gateway National. Always in good shape and by far the best conditioned course in the metro St. Louis area. The weekday senior rate of $55 is outstanding for this upscale course.

First time I've ever seen this. Maintenance crew using a blower to remove divots from the par 3 tees. A nice touch.

Since they are owned by the nearby World Wide Technology Raceway, they have added the black & white checkerboard stripe outside the front door of the clubhouse. Also, on the first tee and hole 18.

The course is in outstanding condition. The $64 weekday (Friday) rate is on the higher side in the area.

Gateway National is always one of the best tracks in the St. Louis metro area.

Speaking of great tracks, Gateway has added a black & white start line on the cart path by the #1 tee. Also, a finished line at the 18th green.

They have also added scenic decorative covers to the porta pottys. First time I've seen this before.

Had a friend visiting who had always wanted to play Gateway, so we did. Feel like the price was pretty high for so early in the year but the course was packed.

Looked like they had cut down a lot of the tall grasses between the fairways so there were TONS of old balls that were visible. Ha ha! The course was in very nice shape for mid-April. Could see that the greens had been punched a while ago but fully healed and rolled fantastic!

One downer is the little restroom between holes 9 and 10. It was flat out nasty. Can’t imagine a woman using it as it was gross and needed to be cleaned.

My buddy was most impressed by the bent grass fairways. He very much enjoyed the challenges on many of the holes and loved that you can see the Arch from a number of locations on the course.

One of the best golf values I’ve ever gotten. Staff is super friendly and awesome views of downtown St. Louis and the arch. Highly recommend checking this course out!

The course was in excellent condition. They aerated the greens on March 23-24 but they putted fairly well just 10 days later.

Gateway National just aerated their greens on March 23-24. They use the smaller holes and use enough sand to fill in all the holes. I thought they putted much better than I anticipated. They do a good job of communicating with groups that have tee times right after the aeration. They inform you if you want to cancel, that is fine, If you want to play, you get 30% of your green fees.

They always do a good job of having staff for the beverage cart on the course, the 10th tee snack shop and the restaurant.

The pace of play was a bit slow. We had to play the par 5, 3rd hole as a par 3 because of maintenance in the fairway. The pin location was unfair on that hole, with it placed right at the top of a tier on the green.

In town for work from Atlanta. The Quality of course for the price was great especially compared to Atlanta courses. I would definitely play this course again.
