Good fun course to play
Overall this is a great course, especially if you don't always hit it straight. It was in pretty good shape, although the sand was a bit crusty and seemed difficult to hit out of. Greens were OK, still issues with the old hole spots not being clean and level on replacing. Rough on the back was a little too long, but it was cut pretty well. Play is always a bit slow here through the 6th, but it picked up after that, still got the round done in a little over 4 hours even though the front took 2.5. Nice course to try out.
Always an option for golfers of all levels!!
Vallet Ridge is a pleasant course for golfers of every level. The layout is and course slope makes it easy to ride or walk as you take in all needed fresh air. However, don't let this fool you....Reachable par 4s can pose a challenge and humble you. Good luck and hit them straight!!
Fun course.
This course has a nice layout and is sure fun. The tee boxes were very chopped though but the greens were actually in good shape which is nice. Overall would recommend for the price point I paid at $38 with a hot deal on GolfNow.
Disappointed
I was really disappointed with the condition of this course. The tee boxes were extremely uneven, making it difficult to get a proper stance before every shot. The cart paths were gravel and full of potholes, so the golf cart bounced constantly and made getting around the course uncomfortable. Overall, the course appeared poorly maintained, and it took away from what should have been an enjoyable round of golf. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning.
this course should never be open when it rains
The pro shop warned that it was "cart path only" on 6 holes because of wet conditions, but the other 12 holes were just as bad or worse! There was mud all over the place. This course does not drain well and it should be closed after hard rains.
Early season round.
Course newly opened, so conditions not the greatest yet. Pace was good. Forward tees not marked. Always good to get out in March.
I was cheated
The course is fine. Not great but good enough just to get out and hit the ball around. My concern is the guy running the proshop. My wife and I golfed with members. We paid for 9 as we are non-members. Bottom line three of the greens were being aerated with maintenance teams working on them. Couldn't play them. Wasn't warned or told when purchased. No signs about the course condition.. Our member friends were unaware. I went to the proshop and asked how they handle refunds given we couldn't play the 9. The pro shop guy's response was "is your game that good that you need to put?" and said with an attitude that I had the gall to complain or ask for a refund. I insisted that I get a refund for the holes minimally I could not play. He did something at the register and handed me two receipts with a sneer which I assumed was a partial refund. When I got home I looked closer - they were rain checks that expired in 24 hours. That's crappy and theft in my book. Very low character and crappy treatment of customers. Golfers beware.
Great course
This is a fun course, greens were in great shape, pace of play was excellent and the staff is awesome! Highly recommend it.
Good Value Course
Good course for a beginning golfer like myself. Tee boxes were pretty worn but the rest of the course was better. Greens were in very nice shape. Fun course that gets more challenging on the back nine.
