nice course
good course to work out bugs, need some grass in spots but for the price, it's decent.
Late Season Round
Even though we were out for a late season round the course was in great shape. The greens were soft but fast and the fairways well maintained and clear of fallen leaves. The Tee boxes were a little worn but it is the second week of November. Curious to the new management as the course has improved dramatically. Thank you for a great round!
Slow pace of play
If you like waiting to tee off on every single hole on every hole, then this is the place for you. The bunkers are not raked, the greens have many divots, and the fairways are covered with holes. It would say for the same price go to a different course.
Nice layout but could use some attention to the grounds and signage.
Has a good layout and fun to play. They need to repair or replace all the hole information signs!
Course in decent shape just needs a little attention.
But it is inexpensive to play so that might be the trade off.
Chapel Hill Rebuild
The course is under new ownership and management and it seems that the improvements over the past two seasons have had a marked improvement. The greens and fairways are in much better shape and it seems that the number of players has also increased. All in all a very good value for the amount of greens fee.
Imagine a course full of teenagers
For $33 it wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t relaxing or organized either. The course is tightly laid out, not much as far as boundaries go, so balls are coming and going into your fairway and beyond all day. Seems to be a draw for the new or very high handicap players, as the general gold manners are mostly ignored. It’s almost a ‘take a penny, leave a penny’ way of golfing. Several times I came up to where my ball should have been only to find another brand of ball nearby with mine gone. Bottom line- the place is up for grabs. Go in with an open mind and sense of humor it still beats a day of work. Inside sign in lady was rude and obviously worn from dealing with the other boneheads who come here.
Value golf
The course won't bring any thoughts of championship caliber but for $30, 18 holes + cart on a Sunday afternoon is pretty amazing. Some of the greens have some dead areas and the tee boxes are pretty beat up.
