Golfer Reviews
Edgewood GC
This is always a nice course to play. It was a little wet on the day we played but there has been a lot of rain in the area however the course was still in very nice shape. I will play this course again.
Staff Not So Friendly
First time golfing here. First thing that really bothered me was the staff. Every single one of them had a stank look on their face and they looked like they were hating life. Rude. I paid for 18 holes, but I was only allowed to golf nine. Yeah, tee time at 6, but there was a lot of daylight left. If you don’t want late in the day, golfers, don’t offer 18 holes! When I asked for a partial refund, they refused. Not going to return.
Not a friendly place to golf
First time playing the course. Staff had nothing but snotty looks on their faces. Rude. Paid for 18 but was only allowed to play 9. If you don’t want to have golfers on your course, fine. Don’t offer a round of 18 holes that late! Asked for a partial refund, they refused. Not going back.
Not a very friendly staff
First time I played the course. Went into the clubhouse, and they only said I could only play 9 when I paid for 18. Ok, it was 6:10 in the evening, but if you don’t want any golfers on the course after it gets a little dark, don’t offer 18 holes that late! The pace of the course, I could easily played 13 or 14 holes. I asked for a partial refund, they refused. Every staff member I saw had a snotty look on their face. Not going back.
Good for the money
Stop giving courses like these five stars! Please for the love of God I want the ratings on GolfNow to mean something. The greens could be fantastic. If people fixed their ball marks and the course replaced highly damaged areas. As they are, you definitely have lots of muddy spots, with no grass on the greens. The good spots play fast and true though, which makes the imperfections stand out even more.. The fairways and rough are all native grasses. They made no attempt to put golf course grass on this course other than on the greens. You definitely need to play “up” if you want to be on fairway conditions in the fairway. Otherwise, your ball will always roll to the lower ground without grass. The staff is incredibly friendly! The golf course is cheap enough to forgive all of the aforementioned golf course maintenancesins. But please don’t think that it is a four-star course like the GolfNow ratings indicate. These people have never played on a four star course or they wouldn’t be making those reviews. They really need to show the full reviews on GolfNow so that you can understand what a four-star rating is for. I don’t care how friendly the staff is, when I’m evaluating reviews in order to make a decision on where I will be playing. I interact with the staff 1% of my golf experience. If the course is rated four stars, then the ACTUAL COURSE should be rated four stars not the bar, not the staff or anything else. All I care about is the quality of the fairways, tee boxes and greens. If I’m in the rough, it’s my fault for being there. But I shouldn’t go to a course that is rated four stars and find out that it’s just because the staff is friendly and they have multiple beer options. It should be because the golf course is in good playable condition.
