Vernon Hills Golf Course

Nice track, great layout , pretty well maintained for a 9 hole . Water cooler on a few holes. Tee boxes were 7 out of 10 for most. Greens not exactly fast but not slow. Pin hole placements made you think about your putts. Sand in bunkers ( always nice to see) . Price is great . Between this and Heather Ridge it’s a toss up. Play the course , you’ll dig it .

River runs through most of the par 4s between 190-240 yds. Annoying risk unless you can consistently clear it, so you almost never hit your driver. Roughs were thick grass not well kept so the ball gets nestled in pretty good. For a 9-hole course, I’m not expecting much but I don’t know why I’d choose to play here with such limiting play factors. 6 iron - 6 iron - wedge/putt - putt almost every hole, very boring.

Love playing here the course is challenging and well maintained

This is always one of my favorite places to play. It’s not too difficult and usually not overcrowded so you’re not feeling rushed like some courses. Great place to try and teach a beginner or hone your own skills

I enjoyed the layout and the course. Challenging on several holes to play strategically with an iron off the tee instead of using the driver.
