Course is in great shape
The course is in the best shape I’ve seen. The greens were really good. Pace of play was good once I played through a twosome that was playing really slow.
Course in good shape
I can really see the improvement of the course over the last few years. The greens were in really good shape. Played course in 3:40.
Racing The Rain
Got there about an hour early for my tee time as the weather did not look good for the afternoon. It was slow so they let me play early. Right at the first tee, the Player Support guy told me, “Good luck! The people in front of you have never played before.” I was by myself so they were nice enough to let me play through. The staff has always been kind. Fought a little drizzle throughout but ended before the rains came. Course was in decent condition. The only issue with the layout is that hole 9 goes right to hole 10 so there is no chance to dip into the clubhouse to refill your water or grab a snack. I was looking forward to hole 10 the whole day because it’s the only par 5 on the course but I was looking forward to pausing for a moment at the turn to get more water but it wasn’t in the cards. Some tees are pretty far from where your last hole ends but they do a good job with signage (including drawing in chalk on the cart path) to guide you to where the next tee is. I’ll play a few more courses before I go back but I’ll definitely be back.
Doppelganger?
Given my age (80), my physical condition (???), and my handicap (20), I have to wonder who was really playing that round. No triple bogies, no three putts, nine pars, and nine bogies!!! Yes I had a great time!
Fun Course with 8 par 3's.
Despite the heavy rains in the area, the course is in fairly good condition. The greens have been rolled and they are fast.
Nice short course
Nice short course with several interesting holes. Normally in very nice shape.
Morenthan one way to skin ...
On a cold and occasionally windy day, I had some trouble with my. driver. Nothing bad, but little that was good. Nevertheless I ended up with a 74! TEN one putts and a chip-in solved a lot of problems.
Interesting Course with 8 par 3's and ONE par 5
Considering the weather, the course is in great shape. The greens are maintained well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Holes 7 and 15 have Stony Creek cutting across at 45 deg angle. Careful!
Best value in Chicago suburbs
Course is always in great condition - can’t beat value, moderately challenging - 210 yd Par 3 makes things interesting. Par 65 lets the course play quick when open, going mid-day you may notices slow play but marshals are pretty good at moving things along. If you ask me this is a great course to hit early season as a warm up for more challenging play. 10/10 would recommend, Full package: Range, Pro Shop, Cafe/Bar Putt/Chipping Greens.
