The Fort Golf Resort

First time playing and it was a great experience. Not the best course for autumn golf. Couldn't find balls in the fairway on most holes

The Fort Golf Course is a terrific layout with beautiful scenery and rolling terrain. Course conditions are kind of rough. There were also issues with leaves but that can’t be helped with the time of year.

Overall, a great track but course conditions could be better.

great course but the late summer conditions combined with recent flood damage has left the course in need of some repair ,however they are hard at work on it and it still plays fair.

Great staff, outstanding layout with beautiful wooded rolling terrain and elevation changes.

That being said, course maintenance is lacking. No matter the rainfall situation, the course is wet, rough grass is too long, and mud on tees, fairways and greens is a problem. It would be nice if playing conditions could come close to matching the layout, which is excellent. Pace of play is usually not to good, although this latest round was okay, but not fast by any means.

Two words - areated greens.

No warning. No discount. Not returning.

The course was in good shape, other than the bunkers. The bunkers lacked grooming, hadn’t been raked and some were full of weeds. Other than that, a great day.

I love The Fort and think the design is one of the best in Indiana. The Staff does a great job and the off course facilities are nice.

I just wish that maintenance of the golf course could be better. The bunkers need to be redone and the rough needs to be cut to a shorter and more uniform length. I'm sure that their maintenance budget is lacking compared to privately owned courses, but the scruffiness is still disappointing.

Starting out we couldn't use the driving range. The course was really wet, unfortunately it was cart path only. It took 5 hrs to play.

This course is always challenging and entertaining.

The staff is great, especially David in the pro shop.

The greens and some of the fairways looked a little tired. The greens did not seem consistent. Still an enjoyable outing, overall.

The Fort is a good challenge but not a course that beats you up. Excellent condition. Staff is extremely friendly. Would definitely play again.
