Golfer Reviews
Disappointing
Two words - areated greens.
No warning. No discount. Not returning.
Enough said
Sept 2026
The course was in good shape, other than the bunkers. The bunkers lacked grooming, hadn’t been raked and some were full of weeds. Other than that, a great day.
Good Course Bad Maintenance
I love The Fort and think the design is one of the best in Indiana. The Staff does a great job and the off course facilities are nice.
I just wish that maintenance of the golf course could be better. The bunkers need to be redone and the rough needs to be cut to a shorter and more uniform length. I'm sure that their maintenance budget is lacking compared to privately owned courses, but the scruffiness is still disappointing.
Fort Benjamin Harrison GC
Starting out we couldn't use the driving range. The course was really wet, unfortunately it was cart path only. It took 5 hrs to play.
Fun times
This course is always challenging and entertaining.
The staff is great, especially David in the pro shop.
The greens and some of the fairways looked a little tired. The greens did not seem consistent. Still an enjoyable outing, overall.
Great course!
The Fort is a good challenge but not a course that beats you up. Excellent condition. Staff is extremely friendly. Would definitely play again.
Excellent course and conditions. LONG round
I’ve been here probably 5 times now and it’s always a tremendous experience. Pure and maintained is what comes to mind. Hardest golf course in central Indiana because of the hills + hole designs. This also makes for a consistently long round. In a group of 4, we all shot 90 or less and our round still took 4 and a half hours. Make sure you have plenty of time if you do decide to come here
Nice course but over priced
It's a good layout. Some bunkers were in very poor shape. It fine but I wouldn't go out of my way or pay full price. They always act like they are slammed busy but never seems that way when i get there. They like to give off an exclusive vibe when they shouldn't. It's been that way for years though.
Very HOT round of golf
We love the Fort, the layout and trees, but the greens were pretty beat up today because golfers were not fixing their divots.
Paired
They paired me up with a solo in MY CART and cited lack of carts, however they had plenty. And no one on course. Round took 5 hours and was a forced foursome vs allowing a single, single and two some to play on own.
Great course
Everything was great! Staff was super friendly, course was in great shape. Had a great day
Beautiful Course needs better pace mgmt
Course is beautiful and in great shape. Really enjoyed my round, however the group in front of mine eventually grew into a 10some which seems less than ideal.
There was a ranger driving around but I guess he went in after 6 PM.
