Trails West Golf Course

Course had just recently aerated and there were lots of plugs laying about. Assuming that was the reason that the tee boxes weren’t very well mowed which is unusual for this course. Also the rough was pretty deep so that was a real hindrance for my game!!! LOL!

This course is on base at the Army Fort and will require a check in process before you can enter. It is a fun layout with risk reward holes to take advantage of.

Conditions were soft due to rain received over the past couple of days. This likely led to some flaws of the course. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were a little furrier than most golfers would want. Taking them down a bit will make the course play faster!

Outside of that, I found the course to be fun and demand as well as offering options on risky holes. This course has real upside potential with a little more care, but is still a fair value for the cost.

This is my go to course. I like playing other courses, but this is my favorite course.

The course was in really good shape even with all the rain

short course in great shape. Old trees that come into play on every hole so even seemingly good drives may leave a shot that is blocked by overhanging branches. Narrow in spots but fair.

Love this course. Tree lined fairways, challenging greens. The rough is murder and difficult to find your ball. The only negative is the geese do damage to some of the greens near the lakes. One of the best values in the city. Need to get a pass to get on the base.

Course is in excellent condition. Fairways and tee boxes are beautiful, a dream to play from. Greens are nice, just soft enough for your ball to bite.

The only problem I see, from the 2 times I have played this course, is pace of play is REALLY SLOW.

Groups in front of us (foursomes) never even offered to let us play through (single, and twosome, respectively) Might consider someone to monitor pace of play. I will still definitely play again

I was taken back by how well kept this course was. Friendly staff, great place of play, amazing overall layout. I especially loved the super lengthy par 3s. 10/10, booking again now

This was a fun course to play. The tee boxes and fairways were extremely nice, all green, no bare spots. Well maintained course . Greens were good too. Definitely will play again
