Golfers who live in military towns and near military bases have a secret weapon over the rest of us.
Often, military golf courses are open to the general public, something most local golfers probably don't even know, let alone take advantage of on a regular basis.
Better yet, many military golf courses are quite affordable and kept in decent shape. Some boast nice driving ranges, while others don't have the space. It just depends on the size of the Air Force base, Navy base, Marine base or Army base.
Gaining access to military golf courses can sometimes require an extra hurdle, like completing an online form and stopping to show your driver's license at a checkpoint. But once you arrive at the pro shop to check in, it is generally worth the inconveniences for a solid day of golf.
Each course honored in this list received at least 10 reviews last year in order to be eligible for Golfers' Choice 2025.
