The par-5 5th is a great risk/reward hole if you're brave enough to take on the fairway bunkers. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 05/22/2020

Golfer Reviews
First time
The rough was very tough and the layout was unique. I enjoyed playing. Pace of play was very slow
Crumptins is fine course
A little disappointed with the practice facilities and the arrival experience . But the course was great
usual perfect course, except....
Love the Fox. A 2+ hour drive for me, but with a great hot deal always worth it.
Demanding course, great condition as usual. 4 hour round with pretty full course. Tees, fairways lovely as usual. Greens true, mid-speed.
All perfect, except....
One water station per nine. Even a water jug at the turn would be nice.
Penal rough. Not necessary to lose golf balls 2 feet off the fairway.
Sand traps surprisingly poor. Variable sand depth and lots of pebbles and rocks.
I'll be back again, though.
Nice course layout, but overpriced.
The course is in good shape, given all the rain we had. Greens are blotchy, hard to get a true speed on puts, different grasses growing flat vs upright. fairways are great. Play was very slow, foursome would not let us through and taking longer than usual. Ranger looked at them but said nothing and slow play continued into the back nine. I think this course is overpriced, since last year they have doubled fees, conditions and services are the same.
5:20 round
Very poor pace of play. Way too many tee times for this type of course layout. If you’re traveling a long distance, it’s tough to justify the trip for this pace of play.
The Fox Beckons
What can I say? Crumpin-Fox is awesome. I played the course in the late 70s early 80s when it was only nine holes and it was awesome then. When it went 18 it just got better. I brought a friend who had never played it and he was blown away and plans to come out at least once if not twice a year from the Boston area to play it my son who is now 10 absolutely love the course . He now does their summer camp when we come up for the summer. If you haven’t played it, you have to it will be a favorite.
Course was great as always. Greens were a luttle slowly
Beautiful course
Arrived at the course and checked in the staff was very friendly. I was supposed to play with three other people, but they did not show up so they sent me out as a single. Piece of plate was not bad. I was behind a foursome, but they seem to move fairly decent.
The course itself was amazing. The layout was spectacular. I really enjoyed it. It was my first time playing this course. There are some blind shots., The greens were in good shape.
I will come back to play this course again
Nice day on the links
Very nice course the greens where kind of slow but true
Crumpin-Fox
I’ve always loved this course. I used to play it when it was only 9 holes. Played it with my 10 year old son. We had a blast. We were able to tee off a little early and finished in just over 4 hrs. The greens were quick and true. They have removed more trees and made some areas that were super challenging a little more playable. I would recommend this course to anyone. Such a gem in Western Massachusetts!!!!
