Fun!
Great round. Friendly atmosphere. Course has improved since last year. Good job!!!
Great Golf Great People
All in all this place is great as they always seem to have openings. The course itself was very well kept. My friend lost his wallet and didn’t even realize it. On our last hole, Andrew the groundskeeper drove up and asked if either of us was this individual, and he returned the wallet. It was incredible, a true man of integrity. Thank God for good people. Keep up the good work Andrew, your integrity is worth more than rubies. 💪🏽❤️🔥
Love Chandler Park!
Fun course in great shape! Greens in great shape, pace usually good.
Great East Side location and great value. Congrats to Detroit for keeping this fun course in good condition.
Nice course
The course was in good condition.
The carts are brand new.
Only downside was the bunkers. They were rock hard.
If I were to play again and end up in a bunker, I would rake my lie so the sand is loose and play my ball from there
Nice course and friendly staff
Course is straight forward, hit it straight and score well. Course doesn't have a driving range but does have a putting green and also allows you to chip too. Kinda limited on food but they do have breakfast sandwiches and hot dogs. The 2 female employees when I checked in, was very friendly and sociable, good impressions from the start.
I rented clubs that day but they are pretty old clubs and kinda worn out but still playable. Over all the course was in good condition and greens a bit slow but still pretty smooth. Course is worth the 40 bucks or so if you're thinking about playing.
Ghetto and overbooked
Oversold the “hot deal” showed up with 8 other cars in a line for the same tee time. Pace of play is awful, the starter likes to poke and harass about the smallest things. It’s a municipal, not a CC.
Friendly staff, with excellent greens - fast & true
From the staff greeting in the parking lot, check-in, and starter, everyone was very courteous and friendly which made me feel very welcome at this course. The course layout and overall conditions were good, with a special shout-out for the greens which were fast and true. I was a single and was paired up with two other singles and we each commented on an enjoyable round of golf. I would definitely recommend this course and will play it again.
The course was better than ever!
Staff is second to none and frankly and hospital!
Recommend this course to all!
Surprised
First time here and was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly, grounds were very clean. A few holes are next to the freeway so a little loud but still very nice. Will be back.
1st Time Playing at this Course
First time playing at this beautiful Golf Course and I will be back. In fact, I can't wait to return. I think this just might be by new favorite course to play.
Detroit makes comeback
I played channel of Park 25 years ago, it was pathetic and unsafe. I’ve heard many good things about the course so we decide to try it again, and was surprised by the good conditions I found. It’s an 18 hole course, so when I got there and there was five foursomes in front of me I knew it was gonna be like league play. It took over five hours to play 18 so there was frustration. But the layout of the course the sand traps were in good shape. There was some roughs that if you stay out of them, they were pretty to look at, and the green were in excellent condition and played quick…Overall, a good experience, check with the pro shop before going and make sure that you are in a non-bogged down situation.
Rough conditions
For a Muni course and for the golfers here in Detroit, the length of the grass in the rough was very long. I would expect those conditions on a much more tour style course. It didn’t effect too much but golf balls we’re sinking under grass where they should normally be lying even in.
nice fall day
played by my self municipal course so conditions are as good as they are. old Donald Ross design. Smaller greens good over all experience needs some TLC some sand cart path investment but value remains high
