Golfer Reviews
Terribly SLOW Pace of Play!
To say the pace of play today was slow would be an understatement! Our tee time was set for 10:32am. When we arrived at the course there were at least 15 carts waiting at the 1st tee box to start. I asked them if we could start on #10 and was promptly told "No". We didn't get to start until after 11am. We literally had to wait a long time on every single hole. 5+ hours into the round, we just finished the 13th hole. The wait on the tee box at #14 was long again, so my son & I decided to jump to #18 and finish the day then. It would have been a 7 hour round otherwise. The tee boxes are a joke. They are in terrible shape with essentially no grass. The sand traps are in bad shape as well. I don't plan to ever go back to play Sun Valley. Big disappointment.
This course was in great shape the greens in my opinion were better than bearcreek which is another property on theirs the veiw was fantastic from many locations around the course really enjoyed my early morning (7:30) round
An awesome course to play
I just recently got back into golf so for what its worth. Sun valley is a good course to play and has a great feature with The Beast Par 6. This course has some amazing views and the greens and decently maintained.
Sun Valley Golf Course
Some of the best greens and fairways in town. Nothing is close to the value you get for the price. It's a course you need to play!
Fun times
The course was overall in good shape for as dry as it’s been. Greens were in good shape as were the fairways.
Back up on the 10th
played first 9 holes in under 2 hours. made the turn and there were at least 10 carts on number 10.. They started a 4 o'clock league on the back and didn't advise at the start .. would have been behind then for the rest of the day.. so I left after 9
Great course for the money
Course in great shape for the heat we been having. Love the course layout. Plenty of shade, need more water on course.
Great course.
It was in excellent shape. It was in the best shape that I’ve seen in it.
Beautiful Course and well-maintained
We really enjoyed playing at this course, the scenery is beautiful and a great value. I would definitely recommend.
Fun course
Greens were in good shape. Tees were in good shape minus having only one stick to mark the box which is cheap looking. Fairways are tight but fun. But the gentleman that kept pace was rude being we were ahead of schedule.
Amazing
The views this course has are simply amazing. Course is in great condition. Only complaint is the greens are lightning fast.
Beautiful course and fun to play
The course is in great condition. I play from the gold tee and they position them well.
Meh
If you live in the area then I’m sure it’s not a bad course. But I’m not sure what the hype is on it. It is an average golf course at best. Positive attributes: The layout is decent. Lots of elevation change. The greens were in good shape and rolled clean. The price for the round. Negative attributes: There is fairway patchy discoloration on almost every hole. The carts are old. There’s no one managing pace of play. There was some kind of oil on the outside of many greens. I’ve never seen that on a golf course before. No drinking water on the course. The ball washers were empty on several holes. This is definitely a 1 and done course for me. Not worth the drive from St. Louis.
