Fun course
Greens were in good shape. Tees were in good shape minus having only one stick to mark the box which is cheap looking. Fairways are tight but fun. But the gentleman that kept pace was rude being we were ahead of schedule.
Amazing
The views this course has are simply amazing. Course is in great condition. Only complaint is the greens are lightning fast.
Beautiful course and fun to play
The course is in great condition. I play from the gold tee and they position them well.
Meh
If you live in the area then I’m sure it’s not a bad course. But I’m not sure what the hype is on it. It is an average golf course at best. Positive attributes: The layout is decent. Lots of elevation change. The greens were in good shape and rolled clean. The price for the round. Negative attributes: There is fairway patchy discoloration on almost every hole. The carts are old. There’s no one managing pace of play. There was some kind of oil on the outside of many greens. I’ve never seen that on a golf course before. No drinking water on the course. The ball washers were empty on several holes. This is definitely a 1 and done course for me. Not worth the drive from St. Louis.
I will play this again
Course was beautiful and challenging. Staff was very friendly. Bring your best putting skills as the greens are true, but tough. I don't remember a flat putt all day. Lots of hills and great views. I would not recommend walking. I just wish they would move the course 20 miles closer to St. Louis :)
Love the layout
The view from the first tee box overlooking the course is amazing. Considering it rained the night before and it was cart path only the course drains well and it was busy but still completed the round in just over 4 hours. Can’t wait to get back. One of my favorite courses around. Fairways are nice. Best kept secret in golf. Maybe put sand box on the cart to fill the divots. That course deserves that
Surprise
This course despite being rural is a gem. I loved the layout especially how challenging it is, the greens were in good shape only minor issues on 2-3 of the greens. The fairways in some locations are bare but it’s early in the season and expected. The rest of the fairways were beautiful. I had a lot of fun. The back 9 bottlenecks with groups but I still finished in under 5 hours. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone and to stop for a second and take in the amazing views!
Course conditions fair due to season. Snacks and such not much variety but hey its golf!
Great Bang for your Buck
This is one of my favorite courses when I’m looking to play without breaking the bank. The course is way out in the middle of nowhere, but the scenery is unbelievable and the course is usually in pretty good condition. I never score well when I play because there’s a lot elevated greens, but the layout is amazing.
Best value for the dollar.
Best 18 hole for the price. It’s a little bit of a drive, As a single to play 18 in 3 hours! Everyone is playing at their own pace if your faster no problem play through! Want a challenge go play the wind here not to mention the monster par 6, 710 from the whites. You’re missing out.
Solid course
Best value for the dollar going right now. Course is in good shape.
Fun and challenging golf nestled in the rolling Missouri Hills
I was incredibly surprised at the natural beauty of the course. 1st nine play much easier than back nine and slope difference is apparent. Best bet is fairway finder on back nine bc if its off the fairway its in deep hollows and wooded areas. Pace of play was great. Staff was very friendly. One of my new favorite fall courses for foliage and natural beauty.
1st time
First time ever that I have played this course and I will be back. Little bit of a haul from Chesterfield, but worth the drive. A few of the greens were a little shaggy but overall the course was in great shape.
