Poorly Maintained -> Goat Ranch
In the past, this course was well maintained. It represented great value. Since Troon took over 3 years ago, we’ve had 3 Head Pros, and course conditions have steadily declined. It was in terrible shape for most of this year. It is a classic case of under investment (or profit maxing) by a disinterested management company. It’s a shame bc the membership are absolutely great.
Peddie golf
The course was very nice. The staff was friendly, but some of the older guys on the course kinda act like dickheads
Peddie Golf course, a cut above
Fair and challenging layout, well maintained, good green complex variety with false fronts, subtle undulations and bunkering. Will test all aspects of your game.
Peddie Great Value
Great golf deal for the money in CNJ. Not sure whether it's a school, private, or public. The golf course has a low-touch feel, like a public course, with a few gems that make you think it's private. Bunkers have no drains or consistent sand. Fairways are tight, and the greens can be challenging. No real cart paths and little stone to follow in a cart.
The clubhouse has bones but could use a fresh approach with staff or management.
cuttings
Clumps of grass cuttings on fairways, otherwise good shape. Difficult rough. Generous fairways.
Good if you get a golf now deal under 50
Solid place. Fairways a little hairy. Greens kinda slow. Nice little bar inside and girl made me two great transfusions! Some good holes and back is more wide open. For $45 to walk was worth it for change of pace.
Golf course
The course was in great shape and the pace of the play was amazing
Solid, fun course
Always pops up on Golf Now...semi private and price was right on a gloomy late summer morning so decided to give it try. Front little tighter than back. Besides1/2 beat up tee boxes. course was green and lush as lush gets. Played as a single....couple foursomes let me play though. Some tee boxes were confusing. Went to the wrong hole three times...but then again I barely graduated college in five years.
Fun Loop
Almost like a course you would find in Maine or NH, this course is low key and easy to get around
Interesting
First time playing Peddie. Nice layout. Back to back par 3's on 16&17 is odd and lack imagination. Conditions were good. Staff was friendly. Now that I know where to aim, next time I should score a bit better. Could use a beverage cart on the course.
A bit pricey but not terribly out of line.
Great Course, Worth The Money
Course was in great shape and well worth the $66.00 we paid on GolfNow. The tee boxes & fairways were excellent, the rough was about a 2.5” cut, but challenging, the greens were a medium fast speed, rolled nicely. Overall great course.
Not worth it
Fairways are decent, rough was not cut when we played. Greens did not roll true, lots of debris and bouncy rolls. Practice green was unusable, two old men told us to go away. Couldn't find driving range although found it mid round out in the middle of the course. Many kids playing random holes. Had multiple people walking through and picking balls up, not theirs ours. Nothing special about this course.
