Spook Rock Golf Course

I have been playing this course for over 30 years and do not recall it ever being in worse condition. Tee boxes mostly dirt and maybe some kind of disease has hit the greens. Would normally highly recommend this course but not now. Will try again next spring.

the group in front was very slow and had poor golf etiquette. Hand carts on the greens and very, very slow play. The round took 5 hours.

For the money, the conditions were outright bad. The greens were fuzzy, slow and bumpy. I know they aerated the greens 3 weeks ago but by now the greens should be better than they were. The bunkers were full of pretty large rocks. Almost every hole had GUR. Layout is nice so it’s a shame they let the course get this bad.

Good course and usually in great shape, but today the greens were a mess. It looks like whoever handled the aeration didn’t know what they were doing and ended up tearing them up. Best to wait a couple of weeks before returning.
