Golfer Reviews
Saturday Morning at Pevely Farms
It was a beautiful morning, we teed off at 7:15 and the weather was perfect. We’ve had some rain, but they let us off that cart paths, Yeeha. The rough was a little high, due to the rain, so don’t spend more than a minute looking for it. Just drop it where you think it was and play on. We finished in less than 4 hours, the way it should be! Beautiful
Can’t seem to learn a lesson!
My fifth time at course and never a good experience. Tell myself I’ll never go back but lied four times. I won’t be lying again! Sent us off back 9 on a hot sunny day (90s and humid) without telling us it was cart path only. We were told three holes in by ranger despite no still water on course and no mud. Course had no reason to be cart path only. Always mismanaged and needs new groundskeeper who understands how to do job. Watching older gentlemen struggle through 9 holes was disheartening! Now the greens…they had gravel on them and not a single putt was rolling! It was a pinball game. We quit after 9 and when ranger showed little to no regard for what we said. I will not return and have better options in area.
Splendid Course - Great Condition and Great Value
Pevely Farms was in awesome condition, especially for a public course. It is a tricky course with demanding holes mixed with very fair and gettable holes. The greens are in good shape and roll very true. Fun layout and lots of elevation, overlooking Missouri forests. Wasn’t crowded at all on a hot Tuesday afternoon. $6 for ~25 range balls.
Just us 3
Starter toured the course on a hot day handing out cold water. Much appreciated.
Course was in fantastic condition.
Still a BEAUTIFUL course
Greens in terrific shape, traps and rough (where I spent a great deal of the round) also great. I love playing there. So so pretty. Staff friendliness OFF THE CHARTS great.
Great Course!
The wife and I played here while passing through the area. We loved it! Fairways were in excellent shape. Greens were also great but were quite slow and took some getting used to. Staff was very friendly, especially the Marshal who was driving around with waters. Will definitely be back.
Our only gripe was that the carts did not have GPS or a cover for clubs, which we needed as it rained for a bit while we were playing.
Absolutely gorgeous course!
What an absolutely gorgeous course and layout!
The rough was brutal because of the weather and not being able to cut it due to the sogginess of the course. Pair that with the cart path only and the brutal heat…it was survive and advance mode yesterday.
Gorgeous golf course!
Great course, great layout, poor carts
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the golf I played. It is a very hilly piece of property. The cart tires were bare and the brakes were poor making for some dangerous conditions navigating the wet paths. GPS and a club cleaner are also lacking on the outdated carts.
Amazing views!
This is now my favorite course in St. Louis area to play golf. Views are to die for. Large rolling fairways with amazing greens. Course is well maintained. Staff is very friendly and the pro shop had some good merchandise that I bought. Only thing that I think could be better is the price ($109 on a Sun), GPS in the carts and better food options.
No drinking water
No drinking water on course. Marshall was kind enough to bring some. Told staff inside and no fix. They didn’t care and blew me off.
Rough is high and hides ball.
Fantastic Course in Fantastic Shape
What else is there to say except that the layout, the conditions of the rough and the fairways and the greens, the beauty of the river Valley, and the friendliness of the staff, made for a fantastic Sunday morning. I’ll be back. Again, and again.
Amazing views!
This course is amazing. Beautiful scenery and rolling hills. Course was challenging but fun with all the inclines. Large fairways and pristine greens. We rarely saw anyone ahead of us or behind us. Great course tee time management. Never felt rushed at all. Wish we would have seen the cart girl more. We didn’t see her but once on the 16th hole. Luckily we bought plenty of beer before the round started at the proshop. Pro shop is top notch and had a lot of nice apparel that I bought after the round. I do wish for $109 green fee the carts should have GPS and include a little food but we still enjoyed it! We will definitely be back!
