Blair O'Neal has been part of the Golf Channel and GolfPass family ever since she starred in two seasons of Big Break, capturing the title in 2010 on Big Break: Dominican Republic. A former Arizona high school champion, Arizona State Sun Devil and professional touring pro, she's co-hosted School of Golf with Martin Hall for most of its 15 seasons.
This month, she debuts a fun new series on GolfPass: Glam Golf, where she and a rotating cast of friends in golf will take on pro golfers, influencers and other guests in 2 on 2 golf matches across the country. In the premiere episode, she meets up with three members of YouTube golf rising stars Golf Girl Games for a match at Madison Green Country Club in Royal Palm Beach, Fla.
In addition to Glam Golf and her hundreds of episodes on School of Golf, O'Neal has become one of GolfPass members' go-to sources of fun and easy-to-understand golf tips. Here are three favorites:
Grip fundamentals
How you place your hands on the golf club has a great deal to do with whether you're going to hit a good shot or not. For golfers with poor grips, good shots are practically an accident. Don't be one of those golfers! Check out this tip from Blair and set yourself up for success.
Feel-based chipping
Ever notice how junior golfers tend to have great short games? It's because they tend to avoid over-thinking most shots, relying instead on their natural abilities. In this tip, Blair shows you how you can be more like them, and get up and down for more pars.
Essential pre-golf stretch
If you play golf, chances are your lower back can get sore from time to time. In this tip from one of her many appearances on Golf Channel's Morning Drive over the years, Blair demonstrates and discusses the importance of the "cat" and "camel" stretches.
