Good for everyone
Blind greens for experienced, wide open for beginners! Excellent course layout and greens! I could see this getting a little crowded at times.
Great Condition Good Challenge
This is for sure one of the nicer public courses in the area. It's always in great shape and the greens roll consistent from hole to hole. It's too hilly for my taste so if you like lots of hills, you'll be pleased.
I usually shoot in the low 40's for 9 and on this course I can go above or below that depending on hole location so I like the challenge it provides.
great course
great course, great condition. tee boxes and greens are always perfect. You won't be disappointed playing at Firestone 9!
Golf with My Son
My son was in from Cincy and we had a great morning on the golf course. It was in fabulous condition and the greens were lightning quick! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Great public course
Owned by the same people who run Firestone CC. Conditions are always great. Greens fast and true. Very open course, great for those with higher handicaps as not a lot of trouble you can get into. Love playing here and will be back again and again.
Well maintained and Fun
Fun little course. Well maintained. Elevation changes make it fun. Nice open layout.
Great shape
The course is in fantastic shape! Greens rolled true and the fairways were perfect!
Ranger danger
This is a nice course. We played nine and decided to play again. They gave us an immediate tee time after I run out. Going to be know that golf leagues had already started teeing off. One of the League members told us that we should skip ahead which we did the number three. Everything was moving smoothly. One of our party lost of all and was searching. One of the league foursomes caught up to us. As soon as they did our guy stop searching for his ball and played on. Because they had caught up to us momentarily one of the whiny League members calledl the clubhouse. They sent a ranger out .He showed up on hole number 7. He approached us and told us to pick up pace. I said to look behind us because they're was no one near us at the time. He got mouthy and kept pushing the "pick up the pace" issue when we were clearly ahead the foursome behind us. An argument ensued. I was told to not return to the course which I gladly will not do. Don't need this kind of harassment by the ranger or the staff inside the clubhouse.
Great conditions and a lot of fun
From the red tees, at least, this is a pretty easy course. That said, after the first two holes, the changes in elevation, blind shots, and some sloping fairways still "allow" you to get into some trouble with errant shots.
Although this is a public course, I think it is maintained by Firestone CC. The conditions are excellent, with tight fairways (for a public course) and fast but true greens, a real joy to putt on.
There were a lot of golfers out on this lovely day, but we moved along, with some short waits on the tees. Since I was a single I played with two other Golf Now patrons (the course won't reserve a tee time for a single), who were friendly, easy going, and good golfers, so that was a plus.
Since I don't live in Akron, I'm happy to have found an enjoyable course where I can play nine holes when I visit.
I should add that having played here a few times, I have encountered both helpful and brusque staff. So it depends on who's on for the day.
