So well maintained. The same crew that takes care of the championship course takes care of this one. Greens are great.
The tournament is coming to Akron next week. May be tough to get on.
The. Course is in beautiful shape.
Value!
Greens are best in area!I I play this course weekly and it is always in great shape! What a value for my GolfNow dollars!
Amazing public 9
With the exception of the horribly slow play (several groups with very poor play in a row caused bottleneck), playing the Firestone Public 9 leaves you with the experience like you've played a professional course. This day followed some horrendous rain and the course was still in amazing shape. Greens were fast to putt, but held for a good approach. I truly love this course!
Excellent condition
The course was in excellent condition for the season. Tee box and greens were in top shape. Great value for the money. Wish they had 2 nines!
Always a Pleasure to Play Here
Course is always well maintained and the greens are quick, true and challenging. Will keep coming back.
Firestone Public - Nice Course
Besides it being a great day to golf, this course is very nice; well maintained. Looking forward to my next outing!! I highly recommend it!
Great day for golf
It was a little busy but perfect weather and great course conditions. Highly recommend.
Challenges your handicap
A challenging course with multiple elevation changes and difficult and placements that will make any golfer put his game and check
Firestone Public " NICE"
Coarse was in great shape! Rating it so good cause I have played many places this year and Firestone was as good as the so called good ones !
Great course
Love this course. Very nice, well maintained. Can't wait to go back.
Underwhelmed
Maybe i expected too much, but being a Firestone and ClubCorp operated course I was not overly impressed.
First off the tees and fairways were in good shape.
The greens were a different story. According to an October 24th review the greens had been aerated a few weeks ago, well on November 18th they had not healed very well at all. Most of my putts were bouncing off of their intended line due to the bumpiness of the greens.
You need to be part billy goat if you stray off of the fairways. I remember parking my car in this area years ago for the old WSOG held at Firestone South. The land had some roll to it, but nowhere near the elevation changes and mounds, that now inhabit this piece of property. I can only assume that Padgett and Mabie were influenced by Jack Nicklaus, who was going thru his massive mounding phase of course design at that time.
The mounding and numerous blind shots, which require you to push doorbell buttons at various points on the course that ring back so that the group behind you knows that it is safe to hit, can lead to some long rounds.
I'm glad I played it, but I seriously doubt a return trip is in my future.
Firestone 9
Yes it's short , but conditions are fabulous. Best place to play in fall and winter
Best course to play in the Fall
Course ws in good condition , greens had been aerated a few weeks ago, But the fairways and rough had no leaves, did not waste any time looking for balls.
Great course
Great course! The only way it could be better is if it was 18 holes. I play it at least 5 times a year!
Great day out
We had a great day of golf! The course was very nice and we'll kept.
Solid track
One of my favorite tracks around! Challenging but yet fun! Took 2 of my buddies with me who it was their first time and they loved it! Kinda screwed up
The golf now reservation and booked it for one person but I meant 3... Wish the guy at the front desk would have given us all the same price!
Close to Firestone, both physically and conditionally
This 9 hole course is adjacent to Firestone North, with a large fence keeping you on the public side. The course is maintained similarly to Big Brother. Deep, thick rough, large greens. Only real difference is the North has larger, deeper bunkers. Course has a lot of play, also has a large driving range attached. Good food at the restaurant as well. For a quick 9 on a well maintained course, give it a try.
the course is nice
course was in excellent shape, staff was very friendly
