Doglegs Aplenty
Half of the holes are doglegs, Bert Way must have felt a need to build doglegs here to make up for the relatively straight holes he designed at Firestone South. The rough had not been cut yet this season, which made it tough to find balls off of the fairway. The tees were in good shape. The greens were spotty, and in no way, were they as good or fast as the practice green.
A very beautiful and challenging course
The course offers enough dog legs to make the game more interesting and challenging especially your 425yd par-4..Your par3's are wonderful and soft. Everything about your course makes it one of my favorites, especially the home made food.
good value
Good Park is a well maintained city owned course that is challenging to the average golferand a very good value.
Not a place I would go back to
played only half the holes and would not even give us a 9 hole rain check. Sounded like they frowned upon GOLFNOW uses. Probably won't go back anytime soon
Definitely put this on your "play" list.
If you like a challenging, well maintained golf course than play Good Park if you're ever in the Akron area. It's only 6,600 yards with no water and only about 30 traps, but there are thousands of trees that line almost every hole. Great test of golf!!
The course is super value for a public course
My wife and I played the course in 3.5 hours yesterday.
Course was in excellent condition.
Staff is always user friendly.
I do not like your sliding scale rating system.
I do like the "hot deals"!
great course
Greens were very good for season .Layout of course is challenging i like it. Leaves are always a problem . Cant always find your ball but they were out cleaning them up.
Tough but fair
Keep it straight at this course. In the trees definitely makes bogey or worse a likely score. Greens can be fast and challenging but roll nicely.
