Regulation Eighteen at Shawnee Hills Golf Course
About
Shawnee Hills is home to two different golf courses, an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole, par-3 layout. The 18-hole course has a front nine that plays across gently rolling hills accented with water hazards while the back nine presents a different set of challenges with more dramatic hills covered with forests of mature pines, maples, and oaks. The scenic Deer Lick Creek also runs alongside the back holes. The second half of the golf course definitely has more of a Carolina-feel to it while the front nine is more like a Florida course. The back is a bit tougher than the first half of the course, but wide fairways throughout make it a fairly forgiving layout overall, though the golf course boasts what may be the toughest hole in the Cleveland Metroparks, the par-4 fourth. This dogleg left hole plays uphill and demands accuracy with a line of trees on either side.

Course in great shape and very dry with all the extreme weather we have been having
Very good day played well and kept s good pace however there were a few groups of walkers slowing down play
Good value for price...
Very similar to other Cleveland Metroparks courses - reasonable price, decent layout, but a bit on the crowded side.
greens were in great condition
i was teamed up with another golf now player and got out right on time. they had a lot of rangers out to keep play running smooth, course was in good condition.
This course is great.
It had rained before we played. But, it was fine to play and there were not many people due to the rain. So, we enjoyed it a lot.
Good practice facility, course in decent shape for early spring
Greens were a little slow, I was told they were to start to aerate
all greens in the next couple of weeks. A good rolling would have made the putts run truer.
18 holes and cart booked on golfnow.com
greens are fast
The fairways and greens are in pretty good shape. The areas around the greens are a little rough and chewed up. All and all beats being at work:)
drcent course
staff is rude play is extremely slow rangers to busy talkin to friends then doin there jobs,i will never play that course again and will tell my golf group to stay away!!! That course has potential.
Challenging but not too difficult. Nice elevation changes. In really good shape for this early in the season.
I always like playing this course. Gets a little too busy on weekends and after work like all of the Metroparks courses
Nice course for a quick round
Lousy weather conditions hampered any decent scoring ability.
Course was in surprisingly good shape considering the weather
of early spring.
One of my top courses
These people believe in their customers. We were the only group on the course on a rainy December Sunday.
The course is honest and somewhat easy, with generous fairways, and almost no sand. At 6100 yards, seniors have a chance to be on the greens in regulation.
The course was in great shape for the time of year.
Scenic and Challenging
Course is well maintained, usually fairly crowded, but a great test, especially the back nine which is tighter with more elevation changes than the front.
Attendent was impolite and short.
Great course, well maintained. Metro Parks do a great job.
This course has a good selection of challenging holes
This course was in great condition when I played it. It passes my #1 criteria for a course; the greens roll true and are on the fast side for a public course. I like the variety of the holes, they offer good challenges for golfers of all skill levels.
