Harbor Pines Golf Club

About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Wet day
Lots of rain the two days before we played and some in the morning. So it was cart path only, but because of the weather not many people playing and that made pace of play great. Finished the round in three hours wish every round played like that. This course is always fun to play and even being wet it was still a fun course.
Solid
Solid track in the area but not the best conditions compared to surrounding courses.
Aerated greens
No indication that the greens were aerated, so a bit dissappointed with that - overall course was in good shape for late November, but those darn greens !!!
Great late fall golf
Enjoyed some late fall golf with temperatures in the mid 60s. The greens still haven’t fully healed from aeration and a few bunkers hadn’t been cleared of leaves, but I wouldn’t avoid the course because of it. It’s just what you’re going to deal with this time of year. We had to wait to hit a lot of shots with tee times only being spaced out every 8 minutes. To keep things moving, I’d recommend 8 mins between tee times for the first hour, 9 minutes for the following hour and 10 minutes after that. I know day light is in short supply this time of year, but only so many golfers can get through the course over a given amount of time and you can’t force it. I’ve experienced delays to tee off on the first hole here a few times, so I just recommend being a little more realistic with tee time spacings.
Always enjoy the course, but wish I had known about the recent aeration.
Beautiful day at Harbor Pines
Our first time playing this course and not disappointed. We had to play the back nine twice since they were aerating the front. But we didn’t know that till we were there. Still loved it the second time around.
Aerating? Close the course or reduce play
Today they aerated the front 9. It was fine to plan to play the back 9 twice. However, the number of tee times were not reduced. What happened? Almost 3 hours to play the first 9 holes. A six hour round is ridiculously! .
