Harbor Pines Golf Club
About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Aerating golf course
Was not told beforehand they were aerating the entire front 9. nothing on their website or on golfnow description like most top courses would inform their players before buying a round. Had to play back 9 twice. First time through the back 9 was not bad. 3-4 Holes had loads of leaves especially 18. All over green and all over fairway, made it impossible to putt. Took about 1 1/2 hours. Second time through we were told there was a 10 minute wait on the tee time. This was probably a little longer but after the 10th hole, it was unplayable. Waiting 20 mins+ just to hit a tee shot. By that time you’re out of rhythm and everything. Ended up leaving on hole 13. Started our second back 9 at 11:20. And left after hole 13 at 12:50… it’s absurd to play 4 holes over 80 mins..Love the course and layout after the first time playing all 18 holes but this second time around was an awful playing experience. It would be nice to inform people about the aeration especially online.
Beautifully kept course
This is a top notch golf course. Greens were fastest I have seen. Workers were working all of the holes around us. Blowing off leaves from the green. While ourselves fairways my be hard from drought, their course was soft because they must have sprinklers everywhere. Not the hardest. Certainly beautiful. Tall trees line the course, so there was a good amount of shade.
Pace of play terrible
4 hours and 15 minutes to play 15 holes. No rangers on course to move play along
Great Course All Around!
First off, the staff was great, super friendly and not snobby! Total plus. Pace of play, couldn’t ask for any better. The total course was in fabulous shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens were superb !
Nice course but screwed up day
Had a 2:40, there on time, their tee sheet said we were 2:15. I had the printed confirmation that said 2:40. They were already running 20 mins behind snd they were sending everyone out before us because we missed our tee time. I explained we did not miss our tee time. I don’t know how a tee time jumps but I’m guessing someone moved us , 2-sone to another time yo make a 4-sone snd nobody told us! The starter was overwhelmed as he was slammed and they had no ranger checking pace. He squeezed us out at 305. Full 2.5 hr front nine, made the turn and asked just to replay front 9. Played in 70 minutes. Last hole in the dark. Great course, but I don’t think they care about pace. You’re on your own.
