Harbor Pines Golf Club
About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Great course
Great course, just needed the leaves blown off the fairway’s. But it is the fall after all lol
Slow play
8 minute tee times. Aeration not mentioned prior to booking. No attempt to clear away leaves on the course. Very slow playing conditions
Aerated but ok
Decent shape for this time of year and for $40 cant complain mich.
Poor planning, Terrible Staff, Average Course
Paid a reduced green fee ($40) as the course was aerated. What we were told on arrival is that we would have to play the front nine twice as the aeration process was just being done for the back nine. We were told not to worry as the course was managing the tee times and we would not have to wait and would not be backed up as we returned to the first tee. This was a lie as there were six groups waiting on the first tee when we arrived to play our back nine. We came to find out that the course kept taking tee times into the afternoon even knowing we were all coming around and back to the first tee for our back nine. All were upset as in addition to this the starter had put out a group of five that would contribute to slowing things down. Many like myself left after nine as the back would have taken ~3 to 4 hours to play. When I talked with the pro-shop, I was told "to bad". On debate he gave me a rain check for $20 with attitude that conveyed - don't need your business as we are overbooked for the day and doing great all year. Forget about customer consideration and service as all they care about is revenue. Course was fair but not summer rates of ~$125-$130. Plenty of nice courses in the area to play, I suggest you go to them.
They were aerating the front 9 so we had to play the back nine twice. The group of two guys in front of us were playing inordinately slow. They were taking 15-20 minutes a hole and we’re unconcerned about the players behind them. However, this isn’t normally the case so
I’m sure we’ll have a better experience next week
Beautiful course in pristine condition for a fall afternoon
The course was clean, green and a fun layout. There’s enough space between holes where you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. The rangers are friendly and the club house is clean.
Someone needs to be honest
I love this course and enjoying it. I am not a fan of the management. With that being said I am extremely disappointed with my round today. When I purchased the round I thought it was a great price and it was. Then I went to the course today (11/02/2021) I was advised that the back nine was closed due to aeration of the fairways. No where was I advised that this was happening prior to my round. If I had known I would not have played there today. My group was there to celebrate my friends birthday and instead we were treated to the same nine twice and a slow pace of play. Somewhere someone should have posted the restriction. Not the first time the course management has pulled a job on me.
Great course,, good time.
The course was in good shape considering back to back Nor’easters.
Understandably, the fairways were furry & the greens were inconsistent speeds.
We had to wait often because it was cart path only but played in a little over 4 hours.
The bunkers weren’t raked and the sand was compacted.
I would recommend taking the rakes from the carts and putting them in the bunkers. Nobody seems to use them under the current protocol.
Overall, good day.
Very plerasant
Have played here numerous times over many years. It is consistenetly well managed and curated. There are more interesting courses in the area, but Harbor is always a pleasant outing.
