About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Winter golf
Any time that one can play in late November, with Temperatures in the mid 50s, it’s a bonus. And especially on a course that is maintained like Brookledge. Even my friend who has not played this course in two years was super impressed. The greens are in great shape, and are relatively fast given the type of weather we were playing in. Course layout is truly improved with removal of all those trees between two and five and number seven. I hope the course is open when snow is gone during the winter.

Course is in great shape with almost no leaves on the fairways and the greens in great shape!!!

The course has a totally new appearance with the trees removed on 3, 4, and 7. It has made it seem so much more open. The Greens seem to like it too.

Always great shape
Brookledge is in great shape after aeration has healed. Leaves are falling, but the staff are continuously out blowing leaves off the fairways. No leaves on the geens either!
The weather was spectacular for a great day in spite of lapses in concentration, resulting in missed chances for a good score. Overall. Great day.

Value for the money
Visiting the Akron area this month and have been playing a few of the public courses. Signed up for a tee time late the night before and got an early tee time the next morning.
I would give the cart guy an A+ as he was friendly and engaging with conversation when he gave me the cart, when I made the turn, and when I finished.
I would give the Pro Shop an A+ as he was friendly and engaging and encouraged me to tee off early if I wanted to. I had the first tee time as a single.
I would give the grounds crew an A+ as they each waved as I went by, let me through their mowing the fairways, greens and tee boxes, and generally seemed happy.
Greens were an A+ as their condition was exceptional for a public course.
Fairways were a B- at times as there were several areas that were sparse. I suspect they will overseed them soon.
Tee boxes were a B+
Overall, a great value for the money. I would come back and play it again.

We started on the back 9 . Play was slow. They are doing construction work on the course and there were a couple of holes that were changed due to that . One hole the “green” was in the middle of a fairway.. other than that it’s a very nice course to play

Best Customer Service By Far
This was my first time playing at BrookLedge and the staff from start to finish was incredibly nice. Since the course was under maintenance we received a quite large discount. Both of the starters we encountered during our 18-hole round were very friendly as well. 10/10 will be coming back, if not to golf just simply for the great hospitality.

Starter
The starter for this course was very aggressive and honestly rude. I have played at Turkeyfoot chenoweth raintree plenty of good course around here and no one has acted like this guy did. An to be honest it was enough for me to not want to return again.

Pace of play was awful
It took 6 1/2 hrs to get through 18. Won’t ever be back to this course.

Always satisfied after finished here. Always in good shape. Lots of character with zero plain holes. Greens run great and usually hold
