About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Great Course
Course gets harder as you play. Staff is friendly.
Driving range is nice to have on site, not the biggest fan of hitting into a pond but no big deal.
Putting and chipping green included with a sand trap to practice from.
Went as a single and was paired up at 7:39 on a Wednesday. The people I played with turned out to be great but didn’t feel like playing on my own would have affected things negatively.
Had an excellent round and will return!

My friend and I golfed here the other day and it was great. Staff was very helpful. Course was fun. Weather perfect. I am going back in a week to golf again.
Very nice public course
Very fun course. Was grouped up with three others for most of the round and they were pleasant to be around. Course officials and clubhouse staff alike were approachable and courteous. Just wish they would have had hot food at the turn (but it was an early tee time of 7 AM). First time playing the course as a beginner who can usually shoot sub-90 but shot 99 here not really due to the course but moreso I was playing bad. Would love to come back and play better golf here!
Enjoyable course
Had a great round overall. Long term thought on the course….. could 15 be modified some to be a par 5 to get to a par 72 course? Just a thought. Also the entrance off of 23 is weird. Maybe modifying the entrance and the 15th tee to make a par 5 could be one big project. That would be neat.
Love this course so much...probably my favorite to play. Even when the VERY challenging black tees just eat my lunch, i still enjoy it tremendously! The greens are showing the wear from the seasonal play, but all of that considered, still roll well. Oh yeah, FIX YOUR DIVOTS, and be respectful to the course and maint. staff....everywhere, you play!!! If anyone wants to give me the best golf gift ever...a membership for here would probably blow a fuse in my head or heart!

Lots of bunkers but good course in good shape. Clubhouse guy had great vibes but starter did not he needs to up his vibes
