Delaware Golf Club
About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Great course
Delaware Golf Club is half Donald Ross and half Zoeller/Hurdzan. Two different nines but both challenging and in great shape.
Beautiful layout
Staff was friendly and allowed us to play with just our group of three after originally pairing us up with a single.
Oustanding Course
This course has something for everyone. Pick your spots carefully and you will be rewarded but miss your spots and you will be challenged to make par. The course was in pristine shape. I wish I had discovered this course earlier. Will most certainly play here again
Slow
Longest round of golf in my life. Left before finishing 18 for the first time in my life.
Thlis course an interesting play
Front 9 about 20 years old; back nine nearly 100 years old...nice contrast. Very enjoyable round; will return.
Best Bunkers Around
Sand traps are perfect and the sand is the best around. Course was in great shape and the greens are some of the fastest I've played. I will definitely be back!!!!
GREAT GREENS
Course was in good shape for this early in the season. Best greens in the area.
Very nice
Awesome course that was in incredible condition for the day before Thanksgiving. Greens were the finest I have repeatedly 3 putted this year (my fault entirely). Fairways were nice and layout has some nice features.
Is It Really November?
Played DCG on Sunday and was extremely pleased. The course is in very good condition and is well maintained in all aspects. The rates have been higher this year so we've stayed away. Got a decent deal on GolfNow for $30 and very happy I got a chance to play before winter. The greens are lightning quick, bunkers in good shape and they keep the leaves clear of the playing areas. Recommended!
One of my favorites
Few things sruck me to rate it 5 stars. Presense of sand bottles ( full of sand ) in the cart , tee boxes are nice and level, fairways are taken care off, greens are true and fast with minimum ball marks ( properly fixed ), fluffy sand in the bunkers all signs of good maitanance and caring golfers.
No two holes are a like
Great Variety which is not often found. Uphill, downhill, level, greens that slope back to front and front to back keep things really interesting. Excellent conditions throughout, although I don't understand why golfers don't fix ball marks. It's a badge of honor that you hit the green, Fix your ballmark!
Great course. Highly recommended.
Golfing
The course was in excellent condition from the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, to the greens. It was a beautiful layout with several tee boxes to handle any length desired. The club house was nice and driving range was nice. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Decent course but too much money
We got a red hot deal for today because that was the only reasonable price for the course. Nice clubhouse. Terrible driving range however. $6 for about 20 very old and scuffed up golf balls. Fairways are great and the tee boxes are in good condition. Greens however I have to say we're terrible. They were kept green but they were very hard (like a stale cookie) and hitting on to them, the balls were not holding on the greens. I expect that at a table rock or another course where it isn't so expensive but if you are going to pay 30$+ you expect the greens to hold. This happened on every approach shot whether it was a 56 degree wedge or coming in with a 7 iron. That really is a problem if the greens aren't holding.
Good Course
Courae in good shape, have switched front & backs since I last played it. Challenging course but if you can stay out of the trees and long rough you can score pretty good.
Great Value
The golf course is in great shape. We got a very good rate on the greens fees & the weather was perfect. The only negative comment is they did not have any water stations on the course.
All around great round of golf
When it comes to Delaware vs their neighbor, Glenross, I'd choose Delaware every time. I've played Glenross twice now and both times the pace of play has been excruciating. The other day I left with a rain check because there were literally 5 groups of players on the 5th tee. To me that is unacceptable. On the other hand I've never encountered this problem at Delaware. The staff and starters really seem to know what they are doing there. The course is in great condition and very fair. Along with being a much better design. Ive decided to make Delaware my home course from now on. It's a great value and deserves to get more play.
Condition
The layout of the course is challenging but not extreme. The condition is very good and they continue to make improvements.
Great course
Front nine is fabulous. Back nine seems a bit cobbled together. A bit of rain kept the rest of the golfers away so I had the entire course to myself. Can't judge pace of play. One of the better public tracts in Ohio.
Best Course I Played so Far this Year
After reading the reviews on Delaware Golf Club I decided it would be the perfect place to play a nice round on Sunday afternoon. Immediately upon entering the property I knew it was an above average course. I was greeted warmly and I met up with my playing partners on the very nice practice green.
I learned that the course was private until a few years ago and the playing conditions certainly seemed like that of a private club. Very nice fairways, well manicured rough, and superb greens. This despite several days in a row of rain. The bunkers had varying sand types, but it seems like they may be renovating them. That said, they were all in good condition.
This course is fairly challenging, especially from the tips. We played the blues since the conditions were pretty wet, and it was a fun test. There are a few very tough holes but for the most part you can score here. The par 3s are all long, and my only recommendation would be to throw in a short one somewhere.
If you're looking for a great course for a more than fair price, this is the place. It is very well taken care of and it exceeded my expectations. It's the best course I played so far this year in the central Ohio area.
