About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Golfer Reviews
quick greens do not want to be above the hole
First time playing as an 18 hole course. The course was in very good condition and enjoyed playing. I found that you need to play more then once to understand where to place the ball in the fairway and the undulations on the greens. Found that you need to try and keep the ball below the hole. In all was enjoyable round and looking to play it again.
Fall golf
Got a good deal on golfnow and figured I'd give it a go. The course was in great shape and very well taken care of. Most if the holes are just gorgeous to look at from the tee box. Not a super long track challenging but very fair. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely play it again.
Course was in Great Shape
Played Delaware GC yesterday. Best maintained course I have played in Central Ohio all year. Fairways were tight and greens were fast and rolled pure. Best value of the year. Top notch. Well done!
Delaware Golf Club
Excellent facility. Course conditions were outstanding. A number of challenging but interesting holes. Would definitely recommend this course for anyone looking to play a traditional golf course.
Nice Facility
Fun course with great design. Very nice course with a nice location.
First time back this season
I played this track a few times last year. I was cruising GolfNow for a Saturday deal and found a 2 spot for $18.50 per person. I expected to be paired, but they sent us right off (20 min early). We played through 3 foursomes who were taking their time, they did not hesitate to let us pass. We finished in 3.5 hours, and had the back 9 basically to ourselves. Challenging but fun course, highly recommend.
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape and provides a nice challenge. Unlike most other courses this time of year, the traps had a sufficient amount of high quality sand. I will play this course again.
Great Course, Slow Going
Delaware Golf Club reminds me of a short version of OSU scarlet. At 6400 yds it has plenty of interesting features. The bunkers, rough and fairways were excellent and the greens were fast and true, but pockmarked by inconsiderate golfers. The Sunday pace was excruciating but it's hard to complain when you get to play such a nice design. #11 is a dogleg left 440 yard par 4 that crosses a lake veers uphill to a diagonal fairway then requires a nice 2nd into a stream guarded sloped green,
Course in great shape...but look for a deal
Played this course on Sunday, 8/17. The course was in great shape, fairways, bunkers and the greens. The greens were quick and well manicured. I like the layout of the course and do agree with an earlier review to add yardage to the white tees on a couple holes, pairing the tees up with the blue tees on a couple holes. I plan to play the course again.
My advice to other players is to find a deal on GolfNow, the normal weekend rate of $59 is too steep and it only drops to $49 for their twilight rate.
Nice Course
Nice course. Greens were fast and rolled true. My biggest complaint would be the bunkers need more sand. I'd say this course is challenging with the smaller greens. Don't let the short yardage fool you.
Fast true greens- great fairways
This course is a challenge. Fast greens. I would guess around 11 on the stimp meter. Lots of undulation. Better bring your "A" putter. We were taking huge divots with our our irons in the fairways- soft but firm in August- real nice fairways that you can't bump to a better lie. The course is in great overall shape and challenging. White tees are real short 5700 yards. The blue tees are around 6300 yards which is what I reccommend for the person that normally plays from the white tees. We paid $28 for 18 holes/cart on Friday with golf now and that's a fair price. This is a must play course
Great Course - Fun with a Few Challenges
Booked a 3-some with a couple of friends who had played Delaware before. This was my first time playing the course.
The greens were amongst the fastest that I have played in the area and they always rolled true. They had some challenging pin placements that required accurate readings to make the putt.
The fairways were very well manicured and the ball always had a great lie when in the fairway. Great work on the fairways.
There are some challenges on the course. Overall, it plays pretty easy, but a wayward shot will cost you. Some tree placements are less than favorable and borderline unfair, but they make for a great challenge.
I was glad to have the GolfNow deal with a riding cart. The day we played was humid and warm and the course is laid out spaciously, so I was glad to ride.
Staff were friendly and there were no pace of play issues whatsoever. Had a tasty chicken salad sandwich at the turn.
great conditions, but rained out
I wasn't a huge fan of this course 10 years ago, but it's grown on me now. It was in fantastic condition (other than some divots on the green...please guys, learn to fix a ball mark, and if you're not sure if you made one, just fix ANYTHING you see!), and is a very nice layout. It's obvious the 2 nines were built decades apart, but not in a bad way at all. We got a hot deal for $35 yesterday and it's an excellent value on a Sunday.
Great course
I've been playing here a few years now. Never a bad experience. Good layout with a mix of challenging holes. Staff is always great. Course was in good condition minus people not fixing their divots and ball markers.
