Terrible condition
The course was in terrible condition. There were clumps of grass everywhere, including the fairway. There where bare spots/holes in thr middle of the fairway as well. Poorly maintained. Not worth the money spent. Worst course I have ever played on.
Enjoyed it
Haven't been here for a few years and it is in much better shape than I remembered. Lots of traps with lots of sand which is good. Very flat but interesting..
Could be better
Flat and short. Good for walkers or seniors. In middle of neighborhood so lots of houses and traffic and occasional kids cutting through. Bunkers need better care. Best greens around though. Some water to make some holes challenging. Decent pro shop. And a really good restaurant with good food.
Cool Spot On A Cool Day
This course is held up nicely over the years. Great place to practice. Rapid pace of play. And very reasonably priced. Staff is quite friendly!
City course
Good course for the money. Mostly flat with little obstruction. I recommend this course for beginners and if just new to the sport. Good location and well maintained.
Golf in February
Being the fact that is in February in Cleveland, Ohio the course was good. Snow cover the course three days earlier. Course was wet which was to be expected and Green a little slow, but for February here it was a treat.
Great all around.
I will as a rule never review a golf course in winter. It's a little unfair to judge a course that had 3 feet of snow covering it a week ago. But, this was rather nice. Greens were in terrific shape and the rest of the course was nice as well. Good job by the staff there to keep it playable this time of year.
Surprised it was open
To be able to play golf in Cleveland in January is awesome. It was about 45 degrees but wet from all the snow...but nice to find a course that was open and not using temp greens...Ofcourse it was cart path only, but the greens still rolled true...
Decent course conditions and very friendly staff
Greens in really good condition. Staff was very friendly.
Great little course!
Course is in great condition. Cold beer and great food at the grill. Staff could not be friendlier! Great pro shop too!
Looking forward to coming back!
Terribly slow play
Stuck behind a twosome who happened to be walking, they hit the ball 20 yards, walked to it, hit it 20 more yards. They did not let us play through so we passed them and skipped a hole. We then got stuck again behind 4 slow moving individuals who were walking. They could be heard yelling and swearing from a far distance away. Decent course, however the quality of golfers is well below average.
Not Customer Friendly
The range and course opens at 7 a.m. on Saturday, right? Wrong. I got up early, readied everything and drove up there. I arrived at 8 a.m. The guy at the front desk said they'll open at 9 a.m. I told him that his website and Google say 7 a.m. But it got me nowhere. I'm so disappointed. From previous experience, I should have known better. They don't care if you're a customer. As I left, the grounds crew laughed and motioned 'goodbye'. So rude.
Great neighborhood course
We were pleasantly surprised by the course layout, greens and llocation. It's less than 20 minutes from downtown and offers a great value. Although it was a holiday, pace of play was good enough to enjoy without getting frustrated (I.e.4.25-4.5 hour round). Staff was great and one could tell that many customers were regulars.
Very wet course
It was two days after a rain and the course was still very wet. It was required to stay on the cart paths only. The golfers had to stay on the cart paths but the staff was mowing. the mowers sloshing through the rain and mud, leaving ruts in the fairways & the rough.
The course should have been closed.
djaems IV
This is a good beginner course. Most holes are wide open and very short from the white tees. It is nice to not have to hit a 250+ drive on every hole to have a short iron in to the green. The staff was very friendly an accomidating.
Good course
Flat but challenging layout, best bang for your buck
Great course close to the city.
I've played this course most of my life and it's in the best shape it's ever been in. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy yourself. Also the food there is great and won't break your wallet.
