Challenging greens
The course is pretty much open, not too difficult until you hit the greens. I have heard from other golfers that Briardale is know for tough greens and this is true. Definitely a great course to work on your putting game.
super fast huge greens
slightly over 6000 yards from blue tees but greens superfast
Decent course but don't play alone
Played this course on 8-24-13. Greens were in good shape considering it is a muni course in the heart of Euclid. Kudos to the grounds keeper on that score. Course was otherwise in okay shape - decent for $27 on the weekend. Don't play the course alone, however. There tend to be shady characters walking on the course from the nearby neighborhoods that might just want to walk or drive off with your clubs, wallet etc.
This course has very fast greens!
Loved the greens. The fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes can use some attention but I would play this course again.
Decent Muni Course
Not long or difficult. OK condition. A good place for newer or high handicappers to play
Great course.
Would love it if they would put up protector nets near the roads so I and the group I golf with don't have to play cautiously because we didn't want to hit a car and get a $500+ expense. Not sure if I'll be back till they do. But the other 15 holes were awesome to say the least!
Great for the price
As a new golfer (I've been playing for two years and generally shoot in the mid-low 90s) Briardale Greens is one of my go-to courses. It's one of those courses that you can play quickly (3.5-4 hours) for a nice round without losing any balls. If you hit a bad shot, it's usually on another hole - not lost in the woods. It has its share of holes where you have to make shots and play strategic (#3, #6, #15 and #18 come to mind) and some tough greens. Generally though, people of all skills can play it and have a pretty good round tee-to-green. For the price, you can't beat it either. It runs anywhere from $18-$32. It's far nicer than most comparable courses in the area that cost the same. The staff is always nice, too, which is a bonus. They've let me use expired coupons, given me extra beer when I've bought a round and given me a coupon when it rained and we wanted to stop our round. All-in-all a good place to play. I'll play here at least 10-15 times per year.
Course was nicely designed.
Layout of course was really nice. Fairways and greens could use some help. But for playing it for first time and in Dec. it was enjoyable. There are a lot nicer courses out there though for same cost in much better condition.
Nice Course!
The course is narrow in spots and wide open in others. Since there is not a lot of dense grass or brush to lose balls in, it's great to be able to continue play. There are a few water features that can be tricky to maneuver around, but its a very fun course to play. The greens are in great shape, and some a very challenging due to their slope or undulation
