About
Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course in Willoughby is a player-friendly course that is open year-round. The classic design has appeal for low and high handicappers alike whether you are a beginner who wants some practice or a scratch golfer looking for a casual round. The front nine is relatively flat but the terrain gets more challenging on the back nine. There is also a creek that wanders across the back nine, coming into play on a few holes. The bunkering is minimal throughout the golf course but it's strategically placed. The hole you need to watch out for is the par-4 15th. This challenging 435-yard hole is Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course's no. 1 handicap hole. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and practice putting green available.

Course is coming around!
Course is lush and the greens are quite receptive. Secondary rough could be a little shorter but if you keep in the Fairway, you should be just fine.
Not A Top 25 Course In Ohio
I have to say I was stunned to see Lost Nation on the Golf Pass Top 25 in Ohio. I can think of 15 courses in the state that didn't make the list that I would put in the top 25 over Lost Nation. I play here every year in an outing and it's a fine little municipal golf course. I would suggest it's a great course for a higher handicap to learn how to play and what they charge isn't bad for the type of course. My experience with the staff is that they can be a bit rude, but maybe that is because they are trying to manage two big outings on one day. Overall, it's a fine little golf course but not even close to being in the top 25. Maybe top 100 but that might be pushing it.
Good course need rangers
Also, when we booked the course g now did not notify of the green aerations. Black Brook was also aerated but greens rolling smoothly. G Now needs to tell us when the greens were aretated.

Good day on the course
Course was in pretty good shape compared to others I’ve played recently. The first cut of rough (where I spent too much of my day) is pretty tall and challenging to hit from. Greens were in good shape and held the ball well.
Staff was pleasant and accommodating. I will play here again.

Need a starter who actually does his job
A d*mn shame. This course used to be one of my favorites but it has gone severely down hill in the recent years. 3rd time I’ve played here this season and every round has been over a 5 hour round, 2 of them being on weekdays. Starter doesn’t pair any groups together, and they let tee times go off way too close together. Makes the course basically unplayable. It’s in pretty good shape for the level of course it is but the pace of play issues are never addressed. Do not play here. Not worth it
