Not worth the price
Course is fine for beginners. Bar staff is fantastic, front desk staff and starters are very hit or miss. Range is fine, but you will be charged more than what is advertised at the front desk. I hate to post this because the course has some great employees, but I’ve just had too many poor experiences at the course now after hoping it would be a one-off bad experience.
The last three times I played I was a single stuck behind groups of 5 that would not let me play through, front desk informed me that the ‘ranger is doing their job’ and it happens to them when they play the course so there is nothing they can do about it. Maybe I’ve been lucky at every other course in the area, but I’ve never seen a group of 5.
At peak season they were charging $51 for 18, that is a fair price for a well maintained, well ran course. However, Briardale is far from that. There are few bunkers on the course not filled with rocks that will damage your clubs. The tee times are 7 minutes apart and will lead to lines on the tee box, the most I’ve seen is 4 groups waiting behind a group teeing off. Some rangers will let groups with tee times over an hour away get in front of you if they get in the line before you. I get it if it’s open and they happen to be there and ready, but this has not been the case on my visits.
This is the closest course to where I live, but I will happily drive away to spend my money elsewhere. I will not be spending anymore money this course. The course wants to pretend like it is a higher end course, but it simply is not.
Well Conditioned Muni
Course was well conditioned with great greens. Layout is nothing special as the land is flat. But if you are looking for a well conditioned muni that should build up your confidence than look no further.
Excellent course
This is an excellent course, especially for the money. The overall condition was great and exceeded expectations. Great tee boxes, great fairways and rough, and amazing greens. Literally the only negatives are the bunkers, which are thin dirt. Very playable out of the bunkers, but you have to use a different approach. This course will not disappoint
Always nice greens!
Backed up on the weekends as expected, but the greens are always great!
Hard to give an honest review with the Dampness.
Rained previous 4 days so course was softer then it will ever be. That said it's was a great deal for a nice course it seems. The only drawback for me is it isn't a driving mans course. A lot of par 3s and 4s that force you to layup.
Great Course
Great value for money, great course, and really well taken care of. Highly recommend giving it a go.
Cheap rates....tough greens.
I've played Briardale many times. For some reason, I never seem to score well there. My buddy likes to go there, because it's pretty cheap to play 18 and ride a cart. The greens are slick and you very rarely have a straight putt there. The course is flat and loaded with sand traps. I prefer to have a more hilly course but you can't beat this place for the money.
