High Point Golf Club

About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

Really hidden gem
Course is quirky with the layout that is through a private community. Most tee boxes, greens and fairways were in good shape despite the time of year and amount of water on Course. No where to pee for ladies, few for men. Overall, a nice place to play.
Aeration
Booked on tee off, no notification of aeration. Got to course and maintenance staff was in the middle of aerating greens. Maintenance guy said we could play but start at 10th tee. Greens were hard from sand/dirt that was applied and filled with huge aeration dimples. Made the turn and had to wait at 1st tee as other groups were now allowed to start there. No starter or other staff were present to explain or organize. Usually have a good experience here but they really dropped the ball this time.
UGH
Front desk always annoyed when someone not of the league or paying their rates. I had to show that I already paid as he wouldn’t allow me to start until I did. Wish one of the many courses closer to my home would participate as I only come here not to lose my $10 coupons
Fun Course
Always like High point.
The course is challenging with a good mix of holes. Several blind holes, lot of water and a few dog-legs.
Lost a couple balls to water!
My only gripe is the terrible tee areas. They have been terrible all year. Also: carts are the worst of any course I’ve plaid.
I still highly recommend this course.
