White/Blue at Ramblewood Country Club
About
Ramblewood Country Club is one of the Delaware Valley's must-play golf destinations. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf, which means there are three different 18-hole combinations to choose from. The holes are divided into the Red, White, and Blue nines. The White/Blue Course begins with one of the original nines. The front half of the golf course has large greens with subtle but tricky undulations. There are also strategically placed bunkers and water coming into play throughout. You can expect some challenging holes, including a few forced carries over water, but the course is tempered by forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The back nine is much tighter than the front with mature pine trees framing most of the holes. Course management is the key to doing well on Ramblewood's Blue nine.

Group opinion review
Some cart paths need serious work they are bumpy and broken. Our carts died 8holes in and nobody at club house would answer the phone. One of the guys in our group was 65 so the walk back was a struggle. It was just a shyty experience. The course has its days when its amazing but not tgus far this year after 6 rounds. Guys working the proshop are good guys very friendly and helpful probably the only reason id go back is because how well the treated us. I played a few times there last year and course was in immaculate condition couldnt wait to go back but not the case right now.
Fabulous round
Pace of play for a Friday was smooth and at well managed intervals. Could tell that a lot of TLC has been and continues to be invested in ground maintenance. Greens were faster than expected. It looks like the dawn of a great season, here’s hoping!
More fixing needed
Ron needs to spend more money on the course . New cart paths not repaired ones. Fill in the low spots on the fairways at least.
Winter golf
Mid Feb round after terrible weather the last few weeks.. With that being said course was In decent shape.. Fairways were soft but not wet.. Only 1 hole had standing water on it and was easily cleared with a decent drive.. Greens were soft but rolled really nice.. I enjoyed the round keeping in mind it’s winter golf in the north east.. Only other issue I had was the bar didn’t have any hot dogs..
Ramblewood Charm Continues
Having played this course since the early 80's, still a pleasure to see the consistent care and upkeep. Changes in ownership haven't affected the charm and challenge. Some new faces in the ProShop are friendly and a pleasure to speak with. Still soggy, cart path only was not a real burden. Look forward to returning on those long summer days, and play all 27.
White / Red
Played this course Today, 10/23/2018. Weather was perfect, Course was in great shape, Greens were in decent shape. Overall it was a good round. We played the round on a Hot deal Tee time from Golf now , So it was very Reasonable. Prices are a little high for a weekend round without any kind of deal. Overall 4/5 stars....
Just ordinary
There really isn’t too much to say about this course. The layout is OK the greens had a dressing on them so couldn’t tell if they were fast or slow. The people that run the place were very nice. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to play this course. For the price we paid on hot deal was Worth the money
Not worth anything over $30
Course conditions just aren’t good... fairways and tee boxes hadn’t been mowed in at least 4-5 days... the holes were all old and caved in, probably 3 days old if I had to guess, definitely not cut the day we played though. It really sucks that public golf needs to be like this in the area,
Always too crowded
you would think that 27 holes would allow a good pace for golf here, but not the case here. The first 9 was average pace, but as soon as we made the turn for back 9 there was 4 cart backup at both set of tee's, we decided we did not want a 5 hour round so quit. We gave ourselves over 30 minutes before our tee time and ordered burgers first, there was not many people eating at the time and after 30 minutes of waiting we said to put it in to go containers and we would eat on course, which was not easy as not napkins or utensils were provided.
Just OK
This being a Jawarski owned club I expected a little more than what it was. Greens were in good shape but definitely running more toward the slow end. Quite a lot of bare spots on the grass around the greens and in some fairways,
First time playing here
Was in the area visiting family and this course was recommended by another golfer. Course was quite wet due to heavy recent rain and course conditions were mediocre, and not just because of the rain. The staff was friendly, the pace of play was fine, but the layout on the White nine is a bore, no character at all. The Blue nine was far more interesting with good design use of elevation changes. Course seems to be heavily outing focused; not a serious golfer’s course in my view.
Great value
Nice renovations have been happening all around and it’s great to see.
Great Conditions
First time here. Played the Red to Blue setup of the course from the whites. Greens are in fantastic condition with a great roll, decent speed, and true break. Fairways are also in great condition. The Red 9 is more wide open so you can bomb it and the Blue 9 is tighter. Some holes on each 9 require strategy off the tee due to ponds or streams that come into play. Overall the fairways have generous landing areas. If you hit fairways this course will reward you. The rough is long from lots of rain and required at least a club more if not 2. Most greens are sloped back to front so staying below the hole is helpful. Overall a very pleasurable round.
Ranblewood
A well maintained good course, with friendly staff. Was worth the long hike from Monroe. I will travel again for the bright price.
Better than is was but could be more
I used to live in the area and played Ramblewood quite a bit from 2012-2014. For a public course wedged in a South Jersey neighborhood having 27 holes is helpful in alleviating some crowding and helping pace of play. Since being taken over by Jaws the bar, parts of the course, and a few other aspects have gotten a much needed refresh. The bottom line is Ramblewood is an uninspired layout. Most of the fairways are huge and offer little to no trouble (fairway bunkers are either non-existent or easily avoidable). The course plays pretty short from the middle tees though the par 3s all jump up to around 200 yards from the back (we played white and blue). If you're looking from beauty or strategy in your golf Ramblewood isn't the spot, but if you're just looking for a convenient round or to get a little practice in RW is perfect. The work done by Jaworski is clear, lots of brush and over grown trees have been removed or trimmed bringing back some of the course's lines. Also the green were considerably better (even after the horrendous winter) than they were when I frequented RW.
