Homestead Springs Golf Course
About
Although Homestead Springs Golf Course is just a few minutes southeast of Columbus, the surrounding countryside provides an idyllic atmosphere. It has a convenient location that is easily accessible from Central Ohio. The course is mostly flat, which makes it easy to walk, but there is some strategic mounding that can cause tricky uneven lies. Overall though, the golf course is not meant to pose an impossible challenge. It has an approachable, player-friendly layout that was designed for all skill levels to enjoy, but there are still a variety of challenges that will keep you on your feet. The course boasts excellent green conditions with putting surfaces that roll fast and true. The greens vary in size from small to medium. Water hazards come into play as well as a few strategically placed bunkers.

Reviews
well manicured. To date for 2015 best course
The greens were like carpet. The tee boxes were in emaculate shape. The fairways were well manicured. The rough was thick, but reasonable. The ponds that come into play were murky, muddy. Two of the par fives are rediculous long. Like 550+ yds. the par fours are where you will pick up strokes. a few only less than 300+yds. Come play here. It is a great facility.
Great Place to Play
Always a great place to play. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I suggest this to everyone. Homestead is just a fun relaxing place to play.
Excellent course.
Excellent course. I was very thrilled that they blew the leaves off of the greens and fairways. Great place to golf!
Nice course
Greens and fairways in great shape. Not real difficult but not a pushover.
Nice Course
I would play it again. It was fun. I would go there with friends.
Unfriendly STAFF
worst STAFF I have ever encountered. Very unfriendly to the patrons. Will never play there again even if you give a round away.
nice course
The greens are in great shape as always, roll real nice. Fairways also nice, pl as y it you will luv it
bad timing i guess
We were placed behind an outing that had several groups of six.Had to wait about 10-15 every hole!!We skipped 6 holes to get in front of the outing. There were girls going the wrong way on the cart paths with no regard for the paying golfers. They only cared about the outing.I have went here several times and was kind of weary about coming back before this incident.I think that settles it,I won't be back for awhile!
Good course, poor staff
The actual course is nice with a good mix of elevations and hazards, but the staff facts like they run a 4 or 5 star course when they actually let people in jeans on the course. Good luck trying to play quickly as a single too, it is the staff's mission to promote slow play and create groups. I won't go back specifically because of the staff
Review
Par 5 is more like a par 4. Which is good, it makes you shoot for an Eagle...
Course
Course was in great shape played with my 88 year old dad an the gold tees were great for him. The staff is always friendly there.
Great condition even after a week of heavy rain
This course was very well maintained and a great value for the cost. All 18 holes were very straight forward. The website has a built in GPS range finder feature which I found very helpful since I am relatively inexperienced. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Very well maintained
Great greens, manicured fairways. As always it was a joy to play.
Front Nine
Played the front nine only. While the layout was open it was a challenging course with tough pin placements and well placed traps / trees in the fairways and arounf the greens. Fun course to play and looking forward to getting back out to play a full 18 holes
An experienced senior's delight
When I lived and worked in the Columbus Oh area in the 80's thru 90's, this was my favorite course. Since I am now retired and live in eastern Licking County, it is a bit of a drive at 48 miles, but still worth an occasional visit. Even from the senior tees, the course is fairly easy to follow. The hazards are few but well hidden at times. Number 18 is the longest hole I ever played anywhere at 603 yards with a mediate dog leg. But I can still bogie it most of the time. Feels good to play here. Personnel are very attentive to making sure you enjoy your game. Not a problem. Wish I still lived closer.
What a fun day
Brother and I were looking for a course to play, so we did a search for highly rated courses and picked Homestead Springs - - - and the ratings were right on par with what we found. Amazing staff, really nice carts and just a fabulous course. There are not enough words to describe this place, you MUST experience this course for yourself
Fun course to play.
Overall fun course to play. Course was in good condition. Pace of play didn't affect us because we went out at 7 am.
Beautiful weather - horrible experience
Good front 9, shot a 41. Was only able to pay 9 holes due to a obnoxious 5 some who showed up on the back nine who let nobody play through and were slower than anybody I have ever seen play golf. Not worth the money if you pay for 18 and only get to play 9. Never been blocked from playing golf by a 5 some in 40 years till this course. I would say this is a good course for folks who just want to hack around and not adhere to golf ethics
Wonderful Monday morning round
This was my first round in a few months and it was the perfect course for it. I didn't meet another golfer until the 16th hole. Got around in about 2 hours, even with some mulligans. Course was in great shape, aside from the bunkers (but it had just rained). I would definitely play here again. Great value for the price.
Pleasant day of golf!
I would go back and play this course for sure. Very nice staff and well maintained greens.
