Potter's Park Golf Course
About
The City of Hamilton offers two municipal courses, the championship Twin Run Golf Course and the regulation-length Potters Golf Course. They both provide some of the most affordable rounds in the area. Although Potters is the easier of the two courses, it's still a fun layout that has become a favorite with locals. It's ideal for beginners but also great for a quick round no matter what skill level. The back nine plays especially fast. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few strategically placed bunkers and subtle elevation changes to contend with. Potters Golf Course may not be the most challenging round you've ever played but the casual atmosphere and fun layout shouldn't be overlooked. It's also conveniently located less than an hour from both Cincinnati and Dayton.

Nice Public GC
With realistic expectations for an old public golf course, this is a good value. We enjoyed the setting which felt park-like. Obviously this is not a modern nor well maintained track, however, it was somewhat fun with the right attitude.
Old school cool.
It’s short but a challenge if you play the tips. Par 3’s are insanely long from the tips so I moved up a tee but overall course is in good shape. Greens are still green and roll above average. Not lightning fast but downhillers will require good touch. Postage stamps greens. Good times.
Shot makers course.
It’s short but a challenge from the tips. I played it forward on the par 3’s I’m getting older but no desire to hit fairways and metals off tees for par 3’s just yet. Course is in great shape for the dry part of the year. Hit every club in the bag to get around this short tree lined track.
Good value
The front nine is very challenging. The back nine is much easier. I had a 4038 and was very pleased with that. A real drawback is the sand traps were unplayable.
Great day.
Course is in good shape. Greens were slow by my eye. Got some rain yesterday. Shotmakers course. Hit all but 2 clubs in my bag.
Highly Enjoyable Round
Great round of golf. Course conditions were good and the staff very friendly. As a higher handicap player, the multiple short par 4’s made for a lot of fun and were reachable in 2 even with a poor tee shot. First time playing, but I will definitely be back soon.
Fun course,great deal
This is an older course with great mature trees and old stone bridges from a some what long forgotten style of golf.and While some the acrutrments has lost their luster the old course still plays well . It's a shorter layout at 5300 yards and par 69 but you can hit every club in your bag and even give some thought to what you may want to use off the tee .the fairways are close together as an out and back layout would make it do pace play can get slow but none the less a fun round of golf for all less perhaps golf snobs
Potters
Short course under new management. They seem to be doing their best to kee the course in decent shape. It will only get better.
Excellant course for all skill levels
The course was in great condition and was fun to play.
Pace of play slow for a short course
Too many par 3’s on back make pace of play impossible to get any rhythm going. The course being a city parts course has a ton of play and it shows, some greens are beginning to bake and they are lost can tell they water course as sprinkler system came on at 3pm on Sunday afternoon!
Shorter course but challenging
Challenging layout. Not very long but greens are difficult. Really fun course to play and a great value.
Great place for beginners
I took my Grandson out for his first round of golf. This was the perfect place, not crowded so I could take time to teach. Course has some neat history, and the layout is really pretty good. It has been really dry for the past 3 weeks, so outside of the tees, greens and fairways was pretty hard and dry. Keep it in the short grass and you are good.
Great starter course
If you are just starting or picking up golf then this is a pretty good course. Shorter course. Conditions was fast today as for not having any rain lately. Greens was in pretty good condition. Only thing that was a little confusing at first was the tee layouts. But we enjoyed our first time playing there and will be back.
