Bunker Hill Golf Course

The need to allow walking prior to 9:00am on weekends!!!!!!!!

My friends and I have been playing Bunker Hill for years and we play 10+ rounds each year. We have always played 36 holes when we have played to take advantage of the $20 replay rate.

Unfortunately this past Wednesday when we played, we were told that the replay rate has been eliminated this year and we would have to pay $38 to play a second round. This is on top of the green fees being increased to $50 from $46 last year. So last year it cost us $66 to play 36 holes and this year it costs $88. I played 36 at Neshanic Valley in April and it cost $100 for 36 ($70 + $30). Cranbury still costs $64 for 36 ($39 + $25).

Bunker Hill has no driving range, no alcohol and is a very short course, however they feel they can now price the course at levels that are commensurate with premium public courses in the area like Neshanic Valley. If I am going to pay premium prices, I am going to play a premium course. Otherwise my friends are going to play at Cranbury which has a driving range and is substantially cheaper.

To the management of Bunker Hill (I know you are reading this): My three friends and I have historically spent a combined $3,000+ at Bunker Hill each year for the last decade or more. We will boycott your course until the $20 replay rate has been reinstated. Your obvious greed towards your best customers will not be tolerated when there are other courses in the area to play. DO THE RIGHT THING NOW!!!

Mark and the rest of the staff are great people who run a great course. Play every week and twice if possible. Course is always in great shape. Bill and Joe are so pleasant to deal with as the starters. Could not ask for a better place to play.

Tee Boxes are atrocious. Fairways are in poor conditions. Greens are Fair-Good. I'm not sure, but there may be a local rule that you don't fix your divots on the greens and rake the bunkers!!! :(. That was really bad, Can't blame the course for poor etiquette by the players.) Carts are great! Fast and automatic park. Starter was very nice. Golf Now did not forward my tee time to course which made for an annoying call ( for both the clubhouse attendant and me, the paying customer) to GN to fix it . Would not go back for the regular rate. Only good for on the cheap.

Bunker Hill is always in great shape but they have done a lot over the last few months. The staff of Mark,Inez and Bill are the nicest people you can ever meet.

My friends and I have been playing Bunker Hill for decades. For the price, you will not find a better golf course in the state. The course is extremely fair with an enjoyable layout, and it is a fairly easy course to walk (holes 3, 9, 10 & 18 are moderate walks).

This course used to never be crowded, but that has changed majorly during covid. You need to book a week in advance to secure a good tee time, and that includes the months of December, January and February.

There is one point I feel is very important to bring up. I have played this course probably 100 times over the last 20 years. In all of those times, we have never once been paired with anyone I would consider to be a jerk who negatively impacted our round. I know the course has no control over this, but the clientele who play at Bunker are just really good people who love playing golf. This is not the case with virtually every other course in New Jersey that I have played. Who you play with is as important a factor as where you play. I would not hesitate to play at Bunker as a single for this reason.

My only issue is with course conditions. The tee boxes are really beat up, and they do nothing to repair them until the end of the season when they re-sod. Given how much more revenue the course is bringing in now, I hope they stay on top of this better. Also, golfers do not do a great job repairing ball marks which is really kind of obnoxious.

Overall I highly recommend Bunker Hill.

Best part is the staff they are friendly and make your experience the best. Mark/Inez and Bill are such great people as is the rest of the staff (Joe/Rick). I have been playing this course weekly for the last 6 years or so and hope to continue for a long time.

Would I like to Pebble Beach and The Masters every week? You betcha! Obviously we can't so I love to go to my local favorite Bunker Hill. It's fun, challenging enough for my level, score friendly and MOST IMPORTANT the management and staff that are there on a daily basis are the best! Mark (general manager) has become a friend and runs the course like a friendly neighborhood pub. Have I played better courses with pristine conditions? Yes but I always come back for the hospitality and a course that they are always striving to make better. Trust me, fun place and great people with the ongoing improvements. Fix your divots people! lol

Sons and I played for first time and enjoyed the course, we golf in a league that makes the rounds ( no pun intended) at various courses in NJ and Pa and would like to add this for our next year schedule.

I have been playing golf for over 30 years....this was the worst course I have ever played. The condition of the course was a disgrace! Tee boxes and fairways were nothing but dirt and weeds. No sand in most of the bunkers. I would never play here again...even if it was free! A total waste of time.

Amazing value for the money. Good challenging course with a variety of different style holes. Staff is awesome! They are very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my time here and will certainly be coming back again.

Had not played Bunker Hill since earlier in the year. Was nicely surprised to see the course in good condition. Weather was cold, so course was empty and my buddy and I flew around the course. Greens were in pretty good condition, people need to learn to repair pitch marks, especially as the greens were very soft. Nice layout with some challenging holes. Has not been on my course rotation list but will need to reconsider this. Enjoyable round of golf

This course is only 15 minutes drive from my house, I've played over 20 years in here, always staffs are kind and well trained.

Sometimes it could give you a little bit of congestion to play however all 18 holes pretty much challenged for your shots. Thanks again "Bunker Hill" and all workers

The course is in good shape. It is kept very well. The greens are nice, small areas that are being re-seeded were roped off. Great course for outings.

Haven’t played the course in a few months.

The course was in good shape. Pleased considering it’s October. Greens were slow but in fine condition as were the fairways.

Leaves were not a factor .

We had a hot deal tee time of 10:12 in the morning. It was chilly to get started but the day turn nice and warm. My sister and I paired up with a couple guys that became friends on the course 2 years ago when they paired up on a hot deal. They were such fun to play with. That’s the beauty of golf getting outside in the nice weather and meeting nice people. The course was in good shape being so late in the year. The greens were ok but people should fix their ball marks. I fixed 2-3 on each hole. The course is not long but on a couple holes you can lay up or go for it. Making it somewhat challenging. I will play here again as it’s a great deal on Golf Now. I will recommend this course to my friends.

Had a great round. Had to move around to enhance the pace of play otherwise I’d still be out there.
