Overpriced dogtrack
If you are looking to play one of the worst courses in Northeast Ohio I would definitely recommend Highland Park. The unmaintained rough, divot filled greens, boring course layout, unfriendly staff, and course conditions makes Highland Park a course to avoid. Prices were very high. I would recommend $8 for 18 holes here.
Terrible!!
This course was horrible. Not worth the time or money. All dead straight holes. Horribly maintained. Unfriendly staff. Rough thicker than a snicker. Good for a beginner golfer maybe but not at the price. Would not recommend to anyone. Worst value in the area.
im bad but the course is awesome
Awsome Course. Been playing this course since I was 13 one of the most fun. i’m just really bad.
Forced to walk
Upon arriving at the course, they told us no power carts were allowed on the course, even though the course was open. We had to walk or not play... not the best of service and wasn't given the option to play the red course or anything other than walking. No food or services at the turn, so after walking the front, no food or beverages available at the turn! Very disappointing.
Killa Shan
Nice layout but the tee boxes could use some maintenance
Forced to end round early
Booked an evening tee time and everything was going well, but on the 14th green we were told that all carts need to be returned to the clubhouse by 8pm. We were not told of this rule before the round and there was over an hour of sunlight left when we were forced to finish our round. No partial refund was offered or given. The staff was rude when explaining this rule and did not care about us not being able to finish the round we had paid for. I will never return to this course and I will never recommend it to anyone else
Very surprised
Fairways were in great shape. Rough very long. TEE BOXES FOR red And yellow trees were poorly maintained..
If You Like the DMV, You'll Love This Place
A couple of weeks ago I showed up to the course on a Thursday afternoon. Before I got to the clubhouse, the starter asked me if I had a tee time. I did not and he told me that I couldn't play. They had a few leagues going out - no problem. So, the next week I made a tee time to ride 9 on the blue course. I checked in at the pro shop, got a receipt and a cart, then went to the tee. The starter came out and told me that I couldn't play the blue course. Why not? Course policy. But I've already paid! Doesn't matter.
Highland Park is a great piece of property, a nice layout, and has improved a lot over the last couple of years. The next step is to improve the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.
Highland blue Jack and Arnie played here in Cleveland open
In great shape, challenging and fun, best off to stay below hole on greens
Practice Play Highlands Blue
Almost had the course to myself so great practice time. Tees and greens in very good condition. Fairways ok. Course pretty straight and long. People were friendly. I’ll come back for another practice round.
They made it work
We had a tee time reserved for 9:30AM. When we arrived there was a college tournament under way. After some confusion the staff was able to move us to the two 9-hole courses.
Country club fairways
Staff friendly
Course layout beautiful
Pace of play good
Tough greens
No carts
There was a complete shortage of carts. The wait time was 3 hours minimum for a cart. Overall the course was easy though and I would recommend if you want to walk.
Solid test.
Both Highland courses, Red and Blue, were both in very poor shape not too long ago. Both have come back nicely. Looks like they put someone in charge that knows what they are doing and you can tell they are putting money into the upkeep. I grew up on this course. So glad it’s playable again. Does the course have rough spots? Sure. The greens have always been the strong suit of the course. When I played they were aerated, but once they come back, they are going to be great. Country club like greens. True. Fast.
