Wet and ugly
This course doesn't drain well at all. Puddles of water everywhere and the greens are absolutely terrible. They are all burnt up from the courses equipment. I would only golf here again if it's really cheap!
Nice course...great value
Some tee boxes are in rough shape but fairways and greens are fine especially considering how much rain there's been. Great staff and friendly bar.
Play a hay field instead
The course was in really rough shape, may as well have played in a hay field. It was impossible to find the balls in the rough because it was so deep. The pace of play was extremely slow, it was painful. Should have walked the course it was so slow.
Cow Pasture
Much more of an open pasture than a golf course. Way better uses of your money around the area. The back 9 has a few cool doglegs that test your accuracy, but overall, it’s just a pretty open place. Fine for the price (at least on a hot deal), but there are much better course maintenance options around.
Raccoon Hill - It's been 20 years
Played this course for the first time in over 20 years! My wife played along though she hadn't even golfed in over 20 years. The course is a bit rougher than what it was last time I golfed it but still has some interesting holes. They have let the tall grass grow around the fairways though the fairways and greens were in good condition except for a few wet areas due to all the rain. It was a relaxed pace of play, a beautiful day and we had fun. For the price we paid you can't beat it.
May 5th play
I enjoy playing this course, unfortunately here in Kent for approximately the past week or more, it has rained! The course was a swampy mess! The course is going to need several days of dry weather for it to be considered playable.
Great course
Love this course. Challenging. You need every shot in your bag to make your way around the course. Hole 13 is especially challenging. They try and stay open year round if the can, so the course can get a little beat up, but it is always back in great shape by late spring.
Open all year
Course does not close so us diehards can get out in the winter in northern Ohio. Course takes a beating, but it always returns to being in great shape come spring. Great course.
frustrated
when I go off at 8:00 am I should be able to play a full round
terrible management of sending people out on both front and back so when I make the turn there is a back up on 10
it was a joke I couldn't even get by hole 10
who has leagues @ 9:00 in the morning?
My Favorite course thus far
I really like this course, so much so that I travel a good distance to p;lay it, even though there are about 4 courses within 10 min of my house. The staff here have all been friendly and helpful. Jason, the manager is quite the guy. Very humorous and kind. The layout of this course has some very interesting holes that are easy to score on or balloon on. There are some very easy holes and some very hard holes. A good variety in my opinion.
rain rain go away
I love this course, but today, well, I had to quit after 9 holes. It got very muddy with water running across several fairways. Even though there were only supposed to be a little rain early, it rained from the moment I started and kept getting worse.
Great course...boom box in a golf cart !?!?!
I’ve played this course many times over the last 15 years...had some great rounds here. But,After waiting 27 minutes to play 4( par 5) the twosome in front of us had a boombox in their cart. After destroying pace of play,we tried to play through and were chastised for “cutting” in front of a couple the duffers. We asked them to cut off the music...they turned it up and started singing along while we were in the tee box. Words were exchanged and we ntook off skipping the last 5 holes on the front.I complained to the starter, and we played the back 9 with normal pace of play and average scores. Music has NO place on a course....ever. And to the 2 “gentleman “ playing music and giving attitude , maybe golf isn’t your sport if the rules and regulations are too restrictive for your lifestyle. Courtesy and respect for each other in the game are some of the reasons why this sport is so special....and right now in this world....we certainly could use more of it.
Great course for the money!
We play this course every year at least 2-3 times and it's definitely the most value for the buck!
