Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Rough patches
They closed the bar early which was unfortunate. The carts have governor to keep you from destroying the course which is a good idea in theory but it donuts work very well. Have one particular "sand" trap on a par 3 that's just dirt and rocks.
The price should be lower.
Great Layout Challenging Track from the Tips
Course needs some love but overall a decent layout and pretty challenging from the tips at 7100 yards. Good deal if you book a cheap golf now. Play here as a single on a monthly basis. Shop guys cordial and do their best to get me out quickly. Looks like they are putting some money into the club house. A little effort would go a long way on the course. B-

The guy at the shop was rude. Quick turnoff
The greens are really the only nice thing here. Not my first time here but will be my last. Carts shut off all over the place I guess to preserve their natural beauty.
What has happened to Wedgwood GC?
A couple of basic things
Signage to know where to go and water on the course in case cart service isn’t available.
We arrived 1/2 hr. early and waited, waited and no one entered the “pro shop” door. It’s 5 minutes until tee time so I called the pro shop to listen if something happened IDK. The guy answered and started explaining where the pro shop relocated to. THERE IS NO SIGNS SHOWING THE PRO SHOP LOCATION FROM THE PARKING LOT! There is a sign if you have to use the restrooms, 8-1/2” x 11” pointing to a door … That was the beginning of our round.
Ball marks on the greens were abundant. Cart limiters (the devices that keep you out of certain areas using GPS) was as screwy as the last time we were here. I guess they don’t care.
No water on the course but a couple of empty cooler holder boxes. No cart service and a 88 deg. high makes you very thirsty. My partner packed extra water.
We decided to grab lunch elsewhere.
I hope it gets better. Hate to see almost 40 yrs get axed bc of sloppy management.
Ok
Grumpy pro shop but nice greens and layout. Tee boxes meh and no range. Cart was quick but surged annoyingly. Will give another shot.
A nice layout in shambles!
Tee boxes- bare
Traps- full of stones
Fairways - bare
Greens - playable but slow
How this course can charge the rates that it does is a mystery.
Old buddy golf
The layout is really nice. the greens and fairways were in excellent condition for the money. Anywhere off the fairways was more weeds than grass which made it very difficult to hit any shot well off the fairways.
Impressed
Saw some of the reviews was worried but found out greatly exaggerated. First the bad, some bunkers are in horrible shape but you can see they rebuilt some, hopefully finish the rest soon. Now the good, greens are exceptional, fast and true. Fairways wide and in great shape , not sure where these bad reviews on the fairways are originating. Tees are hanging in there and recent treatment put weeds into check. Rough in spots is weedy but if you miss these fairways, you get what you get. Overall great layout, tee to green is in great shape.
OMG WE PAID FOR THIS?
I run a traveling golf club( Nomads Golf Association) that plays different courses every other week or so. I couldn't play today but I had 12 members play and all I have got since they tee's off are complaints about the condition of this course. We said $88 for bare fairways, well below Pat tee boxes, rocks and dirt in sandbunkers. They savi g grace were the greens. With all the rain the region has got in the spring and early summer how can courses be in THIS shape
Is this what they call "dynamic pricing" ? When are courses going to take pride in thier courses.
Covid is over. If your going to ask for these rates and not put the money into the courses, just sell it and put homes on it.
Needs help
This course is not very good. The owner needs to spend some money to improve the fairways and the roughs are full of crab grass. I’m giving a plus for the greens, they are very nice. Good job!!
Bad Conditions
This is the most poorly managed course in south jersey. So much potential too. Owners should sell to someone who actually cares.
Wedgwood
This course is in bad shape. Mostly weeds. Weeds growing in bunkers. They don’t know how to manage the course. It’s a shame because the layout isn’t bad.
A great oldie but a current OK
I hadn't played Wedgewood in awhile but it was always one of my favorite layouts. Booked a last minute round and was disappointed based solely on my memory of what it used to be. Since I was a single I was able to tee up 15 minutes before my tee time and never looked back. I crossed paths with another single and saw 2 twosomes but other than that the course was open. Finished my round in 2hrs 45 mins. For the course, the tee boxes were spotty and rough. The fairways were good but definitely not attended to by players after strikes. The rough was sparce and probably the worst part of the course. Surprisingly the greenside bunkers were really good with soft freshly raked sand but the absolute best part of the course were the greens, sans the ability of golfers fixing their ballmarks. Fee was $61 and sadly that is considered reasonable in this day and age. I would play here again
Highway Robbery
This course is awful. Was charged $88 for an unkept fairway with crab grass everywhere. Water in the bunkers and HUGE gravel. I will never play here again. It used to be cheaper and in way better shape. This course is almost unplayable in its current condition and at this price it’s laughable.
