Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

not great condition, including the trash can Photo submitted by Michael8613535 on 10/09/2013
Poor condition
It’s an ok course to play but is way overpriced for the conditions. I would play here again but it would only be if bc others were not available.
Joke Course
This is the first time in 35 years since I played this course. The conditions are absolutely terrible except for most of the greens. The tee boxes are comical. I wouldn’t recommend this course to my worst enemy. You think you were playing Pebble Beach with all these only golf cart path only holes. That had to be the funniest part of the whole 18 insufferable holes.
The guy that rung us up was beyond rude. We had a guy in our foursome bail last minute and I was charged for his tee time. Which I would maybe understand if the course was packed but the course barely had anyone on it. I’d go back if I was refunded but other than that no chance.
Great potential
Course is a professional layout. Greens were outstanding. The rest of the course looked tired. It looked like they were working hard, but needed a lot more . The drought last year hurt everything!
Horrible treatment by starter
Starter was extremely rude. I will not be returning. He drove his cart to hole 9 stopped to yell and argue with me and my group for 5 min because we were 1 min behind pace as it said in their carts. He told us to speed up the round or leave. Very rude and unprofessional.
Great layout
Greens rolled very nice on the day I played. I like the layout except for the par 4/5 hole. Nothing wrong with it just a tough hole to hit a good score on
Needs work
I realize it's early in the season but the greens were bumpy and there are several bald patches around the greens. Nice layout but it needs work
Not that bad!
The course was better than I expected after reading some of the recent reviews, and I really don’t do many reviews, but here’s what I got. Greens were very good considering they were punched not long ago. Fairways were fine and the tee boxes not bad. I will agree with some reviews that areas of the course were not that good, but it is early in the season. Catch a good Hot Deal, or a nice twilight rate, and I believe you will find this course enjoyable.
Needs work
The greens are in good shape but the fairways and rough is not maintained. Bunker are packed sanitation
Place is in great shape it was masters week 2 inches of water no carts allowed so we walked it guys in pro shop very nice
Golf course terrible staff worse
Being in Florida based our company, we have only 2 pros working out here and both have the same opinion, very bad one of our coaches actually said that the people that actually work. There are very difficult to deal with very rude, use vulgarity and are not nice to any of the clients that come in. Most of the people that we teach that do go there. Have the same opinion stating something that they do not like the owner. We do not know the owner. Nor want to know the owner, but there's something about the owner that most people that our pros have taken their complaint. They do not go there anymore. They can't even get them to give a lesson. A playing lesson on that course anymore so it has been wiped off of our map. As far as a playing landing area for our teachers to give playing lessons for children, women, seniors and and men's league again. Sorry to put such a bad review. But that's the best that I could say. It really is a very bad spot. Of coursesTerrible, the people are worse.Do better guys? This game is falling apart as it is.It doesn't need anymore help
Give it a chance!
I played Wedgewood with some friends, not realizing it was a course that people had told me multiple times (last season) was in terrible shape. Obviously the course is waking up from a long, hard winter, but you can see the potential.
It was a challenging course, and definitely worth recommending. The front nine might fool you a bit, but once you make the turn, you have a lot of holes that require some real skill. There are a few significant water holes where your ability to carry the distance is important. My favorite hole however was 18, par five with a VERY elevated green surrounded by sand traps.
The amenities were under construction somewhat. We did not go into the bar/restaurant. The restrooms leave a lot to be desired (at least from a female point of view). Overall, you can see the potential and in my opinion it's definitely worth a try.
