Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Challenging Course, Great Layout, Improving, But Needs More
Quite possibly one of the most challenging courses in the area (from the tips). It measures nearly 7200 yards, that's pretty rare in SJ.
Tee boxes throughout the course are in good or great condition. A few fairways require repair (patches of crab grass or weeds, rocky bunkers with weeds and burnout surrounding, patches of waterlogged death, and poorly repaired divots ((ie the fault of golfers)) but it appears the course is trending towards the completion of these repairs. Granted at this time in the season, it may be questionable that the repairs will come in time for the heart of the season.
A few of the greens are clearly being worked, as of 4/30/21. This is promising. However, aside from rolling and aeration, at least 2 other greens have significant repair requirements, specifically 16. 17 is currently being worked on, while 18 shows signs of previous work.
There appears to be promise here, but I am concerned (as a club shopping golfer) that the repairs will not come in time for this 2021 season.
This course has mountains of potential. I would join in a heartbeat if these issues are resolved or plans for resolution are apparent for this season. All withstanding, if the members rates accommodated members for these reasons, I would quickly join (the course is that good). In the current condition, I would hope for a bit more or at least very clear plans for improvement.
Old but updated
This is an old course layout but the fairways and green in great condition.
Haven't played the course in 2 years. It was very nice, I enjoyed my round
Great 2 days of golf
Spent 2 days and loved the openess of the course as well as the cleanliness and just the right amount of challenge. Great energy there.
Rough
Course was slightly less than expected. Given the time of year, course was ok. Seems every time I play there, the course is slowly diminishing. Shame.
Decent
Honestly not a bad track. If you’re looking for a perfectly manicured place this isn’t it but this isn’t a crap track by any means. Just your standard muni course. Very long over 7k from the tip which was nice. Overall decent place, would play again but won’t go out of my way to do so
Course has been Improved
First time playing this course in a few years. They have made great improvement to the greens and fairways. Bunkers were in phenomenal shape. Greens rolled true. Would play again in season.
