Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

First off

We were the first foursome to play and it was fantastic!

Course in decent shape, greens were quick, some have bare spots or they would've been excellent.

I would definitely recommend playing this track.

Great rstes

The course is in surprisingly in good shape. There are a couple greens that need repair and most of the traps are hard pan but it’s still a fun place to play.

Steer clear this year

Course would be a lot of fun in good conditions but the majority of the grass is dead. In a year where a lot of local courses have been in great shape wedgewood has not lived up to its price point.

It’s a shame

Playing here for 25 years

Great layout, many memorable holes, challenging holes.

Course conditions Blow!! Everything in disrepair. IE: tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens.

9 holes “cart path only”. WTF...what are they trying to preserve? It can’t get much worse!

What staff is there are just going through the motions. Props to the starter. Still had an upbeat attitude. You can add this to a list of growing dog tracks! Can u say condos

Awesome layout

Course has an awesome layout. A lot of fun holes. Course can be long which I found enjoyable. Some tee boxes were amazing. Some were horrible. Fairways werent so good. Greens rolled well but some greens weren’t well taken care of. Overall great round. Worth a hot deal. shot an 80. Can’t be too upset

Okay the overall shape of the course isn't that bad but somebody dumped chemical on the greens is bare spots on almost every Green you can see they're trying to fix the fairways 1/2 is very plush the other side is dying in sparse on a few holes the pace of play was excellent because I played by myself I guess I would recommend it to somebody who was in a really good golfer and that's a such a shame because it's a gorgeous course that needs somebody to take care of it the right way they still never fixed the clubhouse Pro Shops sitting in the corner of where the bar used to be

Not worth the money

$65 is way to much to pay for this place

Tee Boxes were in great shape however....

Fairways waterlogged and choppy

Greens ATROCIOUS!!!

Ranger drives through the fairways when players trying to play.

Great layout, disappointing conditions

Greens fees at the high end for our area. Course conditions at the low end. Greens browning already. Fairways in bad shape. Not worth the price.

Solid course

Never busy when I’m there, you get place to yourself; decent conditions and fun mix of holes. Only thing I noticed this time was that there seemed to be a lot of ppl who were using the course as a park - residents of golf course area : some ppl going for walk/run, a young couple walking in middle of fairway of one of the holes and one riding one of those electric skateboards onto the green. Biggest annoyance with this is someone could get whacked w ball.

Worth the Value

Wedgwood offers a challenge for a great price. Not always in the best condition on the greens or tee boxes, but overall a fun and challenging course for a fair price.

Not much different as course conditions have always been an issue

After reading the reviews I was prepared for a course which is in worse shape than I found it. Truth be told, this has never been the best maintained course and that's true going back over 20 years. There have been times where it's been better and they are easily on the lower end of the scale at present as some tee boxes are pretty ragged and fairways, perhaps due to the rain, can have some bare spots. Bunkers are the same as ever, meaning that sometimes it's best to chip out instead of trying the traditional sand shot and some are filled with water after a good rain. The layout of the course remains the selling point as the tree lined holes require precision off the tee. Also the greens, while a little slower than in the past, are a strength. And #13 remains one of the more difficult holes in the region.

So much potential if they spent some money

I’ve been playing Wedgwood for about 20 years. Ian fortunate that my son (14) now plays with me. In my opinion, Wedgwood has one of the best layouts in SJ. There’s a great mix of tough holes, easy holes, and “medium” holes. Classic layout...decision making on every tee shot. Risk/reward

Good things: Tee boxes are generally excellent—level and well-maintained. Exceptions are #’s 3 and 8. 17 is sparse, but always in shade, so understandable. Greens are true, and tough to read—even after 20years of playing them. If hackers fixed their hallmarks, the greens would be fantastic. Fairways are generally good. This summer has been tough on them. Pace of play can be great or brutal depending on when you play.

Bad: Bunkers are sparse. They need to be fixed. Hackers also never rake them. Additionally, bunkers on 4, 8, and 11 have love grass in them. Unnecessary. I lost a ball in the grass in the left bunker, not 3yards off the green. Overly penal. Lack of rangers hurts when you have idiots in front of you as well.

#13. Toughest par 4 in South Jersey. It’s tough enough without the huge Sycamore on the right side of the fairway. I’d get rid of it.

I love this course and hope the current ownership puts some cash into it. I. my opinion, Wedgwood is a gem waiting to be polished.

Your wording in your review makes a bad course seem ok overall, let's clear up the issue, maintenance here is just enough to keep it open, fairways, bunkers and greens have never been good over the last decade, sure the layout has some challenging shots, but why would any golfer pay the fees when the product doesn't equal it, hoping the management will fix things is in many reviews of poorly maintained courses overall, and the bottom line is, nothing changes, if we don't go there and spend money, they will either close or sell, we as a group must not accept poor as ok because we got a deal on GN or the course was a close drive, etc

Poor pace and conditions

Our Tee time was 822 and we had 3 players. There is no starter so a group of 5 went off in front of us with only 4 sets of clubs. Called they clubhouse from the first tee and they said they would send someone out to break them up into 2 groups. Called the clubhouse again after hole 2 bc they were still playa big as a five. The pace in front of them was also bad. Took 1:45 to play the first 4 holes. Since the club house wasn’t going to fix the issue we skipped 5-7 and played 8-18 in 1:45.

Course could also have been better tended for the price. The conditions have been declining at this course over the past year or two.

Great layout/good greens/poor condition

It’s sad to see this course continue to deteriorate year after year. It’s a great Leo. The sand traps I haven’t been power rake in forever and are all hard pan. When my ball was in the Sandtrap they raked the dirt under the bowl before heading it to be able to attend the sand shot. The pace of play is quite good because there is little play there. I’ve lived in Washington Township my whole life and I will play here again, truly sad.
