Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

not great condition, including the trash can Photo submitted by Michael8613535 on 10/09/2013
Horrible Condition
Course was in very poor condition. Most fairways were completely browned out and others were being aerated. greens were ok.
Good summer day
Since the summer burnt most, they aerated the fairways so it was a little uneasy, but greens were in great shape!
Not worth it.
I don't ever review courses here but this one was horrible. The course had no grass from tee to green. I could seeing it being nice, but right now it's not. Not worth the $19 dollars I spent on it.
Empty course, poor conditions
Let me start by saying that I usually enjoy playing wedgewood. It's not too expensive and you usually never have to worry about crowds. When I played the course yesterday, it was in terrible shape with the exception of the greens. The areas surrounding the greens had almost no grass and/or were brown and chewed up. One hole on the back 9 had just dirt leading up to the green for about 25yds. It was really disappointing to see because usually the course is in decent shape. I know it's been hot, but all the other courses I've seen don't look like this did yesterday. hopefully everything gets ironed out and I can go back to enjoying this course.
Horrible
I played on 8/14/16. The course is in terrible shape. Dead tee boxes, dead spots on greens, dirt where the is normally rough, fairways brow and dead. I've played there in the past and it's never great but what you'd expect for a public course. Right now it's unplayable.
pre birthday 18 holes with family
The course was in excellent condition. We were never held up by the group in front of us. It made for a very enjoyable 18 holes of challenging golf on a beautiful course.
Tough course, great shape
Played this course last year around same time all burnt up. Today the course was in great shape; full tee boxes, green greens, and clean fairways. Aside from the goose poo on holes with water, the course played good!
Wide open
This is my second time there in the last year and both times it was not crowded. Tee time at noon on July 4th with no wait once. Less than 200 mins to play 18 and less than 11 mins per hole. Greens were quick but tee boxes need some work. Soft ground but too many divots and spots of weeds. A lot of geese and their waste to deal with. Overall I would play again but only with a hot deal
Enjoyable Course, Great Value
Great course for the money. Not the most difficult, but challenging enough to keep my interest. Course was in excellent condition, and staff was very friendly. Wish they had a driving range, though.
Could be 4 or 5 stars
Great and challenging course. Would have rated it higher if not for the HORRIBLE pace of play. We started off 3 tee times behind and it just got worst. We teed off at 10:00 and didn't finish 9 holes until 1:00. I understand courses can be slow on Saturdays, but the Ranger, if there was one, didn't do anything to improve pace of play. It's hard to enjoy a course when you wait 5 - 10 minutes between 1st and 2nd shot. The group in front of us constantly waited for the green, even when there was no chance of getting there in two.
I'd play again, but would have HUGE pace of play concerns.
Good walk on a good day
I had a good walk and enjoyed this track.
Good Day For Golf
Great price thanks Hot Deals Corse was in good shape pace of play on time overall a great for golf
Missed opportunity
This course disappoints from the moment you arrive. The club house, is in terrible disrepair not having been updated since the 70s. The staff was unfriendly (aside from the starter), and the course seemingly lacks a grounds crew as every green had dead spots where there is no grass, just a divot like dirt hole. The areas surrounding the green in most cases have very little grass, and are mostly hard pack dirt. The bunkers have very little sand, but plenty of large rocks. The course layout has great potential, but is incredibly underwhelming due to the aforementioned.
Needs a lot of work and care
This was a great course once, without being cold hearted it needs lots of work.
The tee boxes are a disaster. The fairways barley had grass and are patchy. The rough is no different than playing out of somebody's over grown back yard. The greens were poor but not the worst but there's no sand in green side bunkers.
No wonder the staff were miserable. We'll never return.
Nice course.. Sometimes
Sometimes this course is in good shape. Sometimes it's terrible. The owner is a cheapskate and you can see where he cuts corners. I live close so I play it often. Great layout. But the fairways can burn out and be unattended to. The greens that go bare are never fixed. Too many geese. Goose droppings everywhere. Like the course. Someone who put more money into this would serve those paying a fairly high amount would be better served
Too expensive!
For $42 to walk 18 you would think the course would be in better condition. Most of the fairways had little grass and greens weren't much better even after being worked on 2 weeks ago. In my opinion you can play at other courses for a lot less and get a lot more for your money when it comes to courses conditions and play ability!
Too expensive!
We all know we had a mild winter and for this course to charge $42 to walk 18 holes the course should be in way better shape then it is!! The fairways have almost no grass and the greens were worked on 2 weeks ago and still haven't come back. There's plenty of other courses I can go and pay a lot less for a lot more!!
Damaged
Bad weather back in June 2015 has left this course in awful condition. Probably 100 trees knocked down and wood laying all over the course. I would guess that this course was closed for a while after the storm. The fairways and greens look like the greens keeper is still in hybernation.
Good news is with 100 less trees they might be able to grow grass this spring.
Golf in December.
Love this course. Pace of play always good. Fairways and greens in good shape. Challenging holes. Don't want to rave to much, it will end up too crowded.
