Reviews
A pleasant drive in the country
Not very difficult, not very long, but it's a pleasant course out in the country that ususally has pretty nice conditions and very good greens and is priced very reasonably. I played here 5 or 6 times last season. The carts are crummy, but I don't go for the carts.
Obviously now, in late February things aren't great yet, but the greens have been cut and rolled and they really were quite nice. Pleasantly surprised.
45 degrees and breezy. It was literally me and three other singles on the entire course. Played two balls from various locations for some good practice. It Was a good afternoon but I was quite ready for the heater in the car by 5:30.
Surprised
Fairways and greens in good shape. Greens were fast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful Day
I played the course yesterday morning. The wind was Challenging on some holes. The course was in good shape, The greens had just recently been aireated so they were a little bumpy but not to bad, the fairways were trimmed nicely and green. Overall had a great first experience and I will play this course again.
Good Round
Course was in pretty good condition for being pretty dry. It was a hot day and thought it would be nice if there was water on the course. If it was there it was hidden I didn't see any on the front or the back
Great course, fairly cheap prices
Great course, kept very well. The prices are not bad if you go at the right time and day. I paid $23 for 18 on a Saturday morning.
Kind of flat, but a good home course for locals
I will say the greens play quite easy, and the overall grooming is what you would expect from a country course. I don't mind playing it as a halfway point between my father and me to meet up at, but I really would go out of my way to play here. I would give this place a better rating, but if you hit a ball in the rough between two holes and start driving towards your ball the guy on the other hole is likely to pick up your ball. This happened multiple times, and I know the course can't control this, but if your reading this and you like to pick up balls please ensure there is no chance of it being anybody's live ball please. The only other complaints is they need some new stuff; carts, club house, scorecards, ect.
great value
played early weekday. pace of play was fast
course in good shape. from the back tees course was challenging enough for intermediate player. number 8 is a tuff hole. great value friendly staff. there golf carts are probable the worst youll find anywhere. but for what I payed im not gonna complain.
Rolling along at Rolling Meadows
The course with a few exceptions is fairly open and non threatening. However if you just want to get out and play and swing freely, this is your place. The traps while needing a little attention for the most par were is decent shape.
don't overlook this course
I dare you to find a course public or private
that has better greens...the fairways and Tees are nice
and some time working on the bunkers would all it is needed to get 5 stars from my end..very friendly staff!
Improved greens
The last time I played the course it was in pretty rough condition. However, this time I was very pleased with the improvement in the greens. The tee boxes still need some attention (pretty difficult to get a tee in the ground). The management of the course has always been cordial and cooperative and continue to be.
Good practice course
Course was in decent shape.
Good for practice not a lot of difficult holes.
Enjoyed it.
Need a ranger!
We had two young teens playing in front of our threesome, and they each played multiple balls throughout the entire front nine. This forced us to wait on every single shot.
A course that we ought to have gotten around in 3:45 at the most took us a full five hours to play.
Then, on the back nine, the foursome ahead of us had to wait as a father in front of them allowed his son to hit the same shots over and over and over again.
Rolling Meadows needs an on-course ranger on weekends!
I must say, though, the greens were in great shape.
Friendly course
I rate this course as friendly because there are no ugly surprises. What you see is what you get.
Confidence Builder
If your not scoring well, this is a great course to play to improve your confidence . Not a whole lot of trouble . Greens are large & fairly fast. Fairways usually hard so you get roll on drives, while greens will hold a well struck iron. Not too crowded during week. Played on Golf Now for $10. Personally I would not pay full price of $27 for this course, as I can play for instance Darby Creek for $26 anytime. ( Sr. Rate)
Greens putt well
The greens putted very true and were easy to read.
The fairways were extremely hard and needed
water. Very little sand in the bunkers.
I would play it again.
You get what you pay for.
It was a hot deal. The greens were being redone, so they were horrible. The carts were pretty junky. I think this course will be pretty decent when the green grow back, but overall it has potential.
nice
They was aerating the greens on the back so my friend and I had to play the front side twice (Bummer) , didn't get to even see the back.
Fun course
Great course and friendly staff.
Nice to walk if you so desire.
Let it roll!
First of all, the greens were in great shape, not overly fast but very smooth and approachable. The condition of the greens always skews my reviews, which is why I liked my day, playing with my son who was really rolling em in. As for me, the firm fairways meant I was getting fantastic roll on my drives. Too bad my second shot skill was on hiatus.
