Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Nice course for the price. Greens are very nice. Unfriendly staff. Not sure if the pro shop lady said a single word.
Marysvill
I played from the geezer tees and it was a perfect layout for me. There were enough challenges that I wasn't bored. The bunkers need lots of sand, but the price was right.
Great course they are making better
This course has recently put work into their bunkers and purchased new carts. A great value.
SLOW!
Quit after 9--two groups on 10 waiting to tee, a group waiting in the fairway and a 5-some putting on the green. A place to drink and wait. Not for real golf.
Great value
Course in good condition except for bunkers. They are working on them by putting new sand in, starting on back. Great value for price.
Good for $15
We arrived just in time for our tee time but they were running behind so we started 15-20 minutes late. golfers everywhere we could see. Finished in just over 4 hours on a Sunday. Greens are in good condition and some spotty patches on the fairway but usually no more than $23 regular fees so in my opinion its a good value.
Seems like it could be significantly nicer if ther put a little time and money into the maintenance of the corse and club house.
Don't bother
Very disappointed in the course. It had been a few years since I had played the course and from the sewer smells of the men's room to the condition of the cart paths, bunkers, tees and greens, it was evident that the current owners are not investing back into the course. Spend a few extra dollars and go down the road to Darby Creek if you're in the Marysville area.
Never again
The course looked like No one had touched it in a long time. The course was full of leaves and sticks, the carts barely ran,the club house was a wreck. I WILL NEVER BE BACK
Good for the price but could be better maintained.
We drove 30 minutes to the course to get a good deal on a round. Course was okay and the staff was friendly. Only one person was working the clubhouse and had to take the time (10 mins) to go make hot dogs, causing other customers to wait in the other room who were trying to check in. The hills made the course fun to play. There were a couple downfalls. There were lots of tree branches all over the course that needed cleaned up. You couldn't drive 20 yards without having to dodge tree branches laying all over the place. The other downfall is housing locations. Especially on the back 9, the fairways seem to be too close to homes. Other than that the course is definitely worth about 20 bucks for a round. I just wouldn't drive 30 minutes to get there again.
Pleasant Surprise
Hadn't played the course in 12 years so didn't know what to expect. Fairways and greens in great shape. Golf carts in need of upgrade and staff wasn't very friendly. Beautiful day and enjoyed round.
Good value play
First off this is a good value play. Greens were in good shape. Only complaint is there leaf removal seems to be a bit behind other courses. If your in fairways your probable okay. Spent considerable time looking for balls that would other wise been easy finds. As well as players in front of you. At 12$ this is a great deal. I live on scioto reserve and dont see one leaf anywere but thats what you get for 100$ a round average cost.
Pleasant Surprise
The golf carts are in dire need of upgrades but the course and greens are in great shape. Quite a treat and great value.
Average Course at best
The Golf course is OK and I played 18 holes in 3 hours because there were not many people there. I do not like the staff though.
Unenjoybale Experience
This may be our most unenjoyable golf round of the summer. We did not realize they had four inches of rain and were told that it was cart path only when we arrived. The course should have never been open. The girl inside never moved from behind her computer in the corner and told me to take the cart out in front. I went out to find a cart with wet mud all over the floor. I went back in ti tell her the cart was unacceptable. She said they were all going to be that way which was not the case. I did choose a different cart, but many of the carts had mildew stains and ripped seat cushions. The carts chugged along in starts and stops.
Once we were on the course there was water everywhere with actual ponds in the middle of the fairways. None of the tee boxes or greens were cut. The grass on the tee boxes was so tall that it was difficult to judge how high to place the tee. Putting on the greens was like putting on plush carpet and very frustrating. Even a well hit ball died and splashed as it hit the fairway. Several guys were so frustrated that they walked off the course and didn't finish.
Needless to say, we will not be back as it was a very challenging experience.
Course condition in line with cost
Played for the first time this weekend. Fairways and tee boxes were ok, greens were not consistent, and over all the course looked like it was in need of some updating. I feel like the cost was inline with the quality.
