Followup
Following up the reviews of abusive ownership on Thursday 7/30, of UN PLEASANT Valley, as I have found out sharing our story and hearing stories from many others.
The owners called the Police with license plate numbers from our group as they were leaving, telling the police we had been drinking and destroying property. Two golfers, in separate cars were stopped two miles from the course by three cop cars. One of them a 70+ Vietnam Vet, they other nearing 60, neither were guilty of any wrong doing and din't drink.
The cops took their license information and phone number.
Classy move UN PLEASANT VALLEY.
Is this the kind of place you want to support, ungrateful to customers and to our vets, how would they know he's a vet, he proudly wears a Vietnam Veterans ball cap.
Our ages range from 45 to 70+, a real gang of troublemakers.
This is a family owned course and the stories of attitude go back for years and so there is something going on since, either they write their own reviews, or there ore other issues because some say how nice they are, no one that I know though.
A real shame since it is a decent course managed by people with attitudes, bad attitudes.
Would go again, but not by myself
This isn’t really the courses fault, since apparently golf now instantly books singles with other players, I was able to go off the back with no issue at all because of the attendant, but when I got back to the front it was slammed. Multiple players came up to me and asked me to play with them for no reason, since it wouldn’t have changed the pace of play, only slow me down since they were at least 20+ handicappers. Loved the course, just wish players would social distance and respect the fact that I didn’t want to play with randos.
Nice course, poorly managed
Course is in great shape. Tees boxes are bit fluffy, could use a trimming. fairways too, as ball just bounces one time and stops.
Greens are in good shape. Management needs to calm down with customers. Owners very abusive language due to plastic divider in cart being pushed away by drivers. Not healthy as previously mentioned. Saw owners chasing customers in carts as f bombs are being hurled at customer. Very unprofessional. For that reason would not recommend to play here. Many places to play. Go somewhere where they appreciate your money and treat you like a human being.
Consistent
This course is always in good shape. The greens are receptive and roll true. Very consistent from week to week. Keep it up!
Great course, slow pace of play
Was stuck behind a foursome that took about 20 minutes a hole. Took about 5:15 to play 18. Great course though, very long and wide.
Good play
I was pleasantly surprised by the shape of the course. Greens and fairways were great. Wasn’t in any sand. We zipped quickly around the course. They did have dividers in the carts so it was tough to see the balls but I understand due to Covid virus. All in all it was a great time.
Well worth it
Pleasant Valley is a go-to course for me. I really like the old-fashioned, challenging layout. And the plastic divider in the carts means we can avoid the separate cart fees other courses charge.
Nice Track
Didn't remember much about the last time I played here. But this is a very nice place to play! The layout is logical and the conditions were very good. Will definitely be back!
Very consistent
Nice course that has not gone crazy with pricing. Off course amenities could be better, but are average. Like a lot of courses, the front 9 is more open and easier than the tighter, more elevation changes, back 9. The finishing 3 holes are demanding. The staff is getting friendlier and course conditions were excellent.
