Beauty Day @ Pleasant Valley
An awesome day, and great course conditions. It was a little breezy, enough to extra clubs into the wind, but chipping was easy & greens rolling nicely. Thanx to GN for Hot Deal Special on my Birthday! If it weren't for a couple of bad shots (2-DbleBogies), I would have broke 80 ..........but that's a whole 'nother story.
not worth the time
just like others said the fairways had not been cut in a long time, girl in clubhouse had a serious attitude. They do not give you option of separate carts(probably because they had about 20 broken ones sitting out front). The greens were fine the rough also long and all clover, did not see any people working on the course, they obviously are worried about saving money instead of satisfying guests . Plenty of better options out there, we will NOT be back
Good track
Course is on the longer side, especially today because the rough was high and the course was wet. But a special moment for me as I aced the 14th.
First time in 15 years!!
I used to play PVCC every Sunday for years. This is my first time back and it’s just how I remembered it. The course was in great shape and the layout is challenging. Will be back!
CUT THE GRASS!!!!
What a joke. The fairway grass was long. The ball sat "IN" the fairway grass, not "ON" it. The rough was laughable. If you found the ball in the rough, you better have a health care plan, because it will take a big swing to get out of it. We won't go back, unless the RINO governor shuts down every other course in NE Ohio.
Little Wet
Didnt expect the course to be wet, but not bad...
Still dont agree with the divider in the middle of carts and having to ride with people from different households...much rather ride by myself,...
I feel like the course was just trying to make more money, instead of one player per cart for maximum safety precautions
Spring Conditions Challenging
Due to the rain, it was cart path only. That is not bad, except the rough was appropriately named. You could be a few feet away from the fairway or green and not find your ball. Tee box grass was thick as well. I might wait until summer to replay this course as the spring conditions are torturous. However, the staff was great and many players of 2 or 3 had single players play through. However, if you were not in the fairway, it was tough to find your ball and play quickly.
Not worth the money
Bottom line this course isn’t worth the money there are 4-5 other courses near this course that are not only better but cheaper don’t make the mistake of wasting your money here.
Please name the courses.
Is This A Golf Course?
I played Pleasant Valley for the first & only time a couple weeks ago. I understand that course are struggling due to corona but unless this course gets it act together I doubt it'll be open in near future. I had to wait an hour after my tee time because they didn't have enough working carts, you can barely tell the difference between the fairways, greens & rough due to lack of general maintenance & upkeep. The greens were the worst I had seen in 25 years of golf and the fairways hadn't been cut in at least a week. I hate writing a poor review but this was the first round I've ever played were the course was in such bad shape I literally went home after whole 7.
Wet
Wet cart path only can't find your drive-in the rough right outside the fairway For not being open or played in a while would expect to be in way better condition
Has potential
For a course that is cart path only at all times, one would think the fairways would be well manicured. And the cart paths are horrible to drive on. The layout is great and it's a fun course. Just needs to be cared for!
The carts have dividers, so there is no need for a separate cart. The girl with attitude. Ya, we all know her. Bad fairways is an anomaly perhaps due to rain.
