Overboard
They have a plastic divider in the middle of the golf carts that flapped while driving so it rubs up against you the whole time. If you're actually worried about illness, this would do more to spread than prevent. The flag receiver in every hole was raised so the golf ball won't fit in the hole. Unless you have every putt die perfectly in the hole, it will bounce out. So you basically have to cheat on almost every putt. I won't be back until they get over this fear. Other courses don't have this. Plus if you are afraid of getting sick, don't golf. Just put a sign up that says, play at your own risk if you're worried about it.
Challenging layout
Course condition was very good, thx grounds crew, great work
Great First Time
Course was a lot of fun to play. Fairways were very thick and soft. Rough was in ok shape, not too different from most other courses in the area, very little hardpan. They do take care to water the course a lot. Greens were fantastic but the pins were tough, didn't make anything all day.. I will be back and the course needs to be played a few times to understand the green complexes.
Good but won’t play again
The course is decent but the staff is know to be rude and today was no exception. Not much to say, just no very friendly and one of my friends daughters wanted to hangout for father day and the staff wouldn’t allow it. They had us play 50 dollars for her to ride
My Experience at Pleasant Valley “Country Club”
Firstly, far from a country club.
The pace of play was egregious. We were stuck behind a group of 5 senior women. 2 of which were walking.
The fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. However, 15 of the tee boxes were soft and overgrown. And good luck driving a cart on the cart path. The cart path was maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. There are smoother roads in the post-war city of Aleppo.
THE CLUB HOUSE: doesn’t sell golf balls, only has a few select beverages and hot dogs, no seating available.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Just go up the road to bunker hill or pay $10 more for shale creek. Much better options. Won’t be returning here.
I can't disagree with this assessment. The cart path do need work and the club house, even pre covid-19 was dark and unwelcoming. Zero proshop and barely food service. Bunker Hill is nice, too. MUCH better clubhouse and MUCH friendlier. It's a shame because it's a nice course, but could be a lot better.
Beauty Day @ Pleasant Valley
An awesome day, and great course conditions. It was a little breezy, enough to extra clubs into the wind, but chipping was easy & greens rolling nicely. Thanx to GN for Hot Deal Special on my Birthday! If it weren't for a couple of bad shots (2-DbleBogies), I would have broke 80 ..........but that's a whole 'nother story.
not worth the time
just like others said the fairways had not been cut in a long time, girl in clubhouse had a serious attitude. They do not give you option of separate carts(probably because they had about 20 broken ones sitting out front). The greens were fine the rough also long and all clover, did not see any people working on the course, they obviously are worried about saving money instead of satisfying guests . Plenty of better options out there, we will NOT be back
The carts have dividers, so there is no need for a separate cart. The girl with attitude. Ya, we all know her. Bad fairways is an anomaly perhaps due to rain.
Good track
Course is on the longer side, especially today because the rough was high and the course was wet. But a special moment for me as I aced the 14th.
First time in 15 years!!
I used to play PVCC every Sunday for years. This is my first time back and it’s just how I remembered it. The course was in great shape and the layout is challenging. Will be back!
CUT THE GRASS!!!!
What a joke. The fairway grass was long. The ball sat "IN" the fairway grass, not "ON" it. The rough was laughable. If you found the ball in the rough, you better have a health care plan, because it will take a big swing to get out of it. We won't go back, unless the RINO governor shuts down every other course in NE Ohio.
Your comments are correct, but the course doesn't deserve two stars because covid-19 preparations. These are minor inconveniences.
