Pleasant Valley Country Club

Course was in good shape. Especially for this late in the year. Great deal for 18 holes (hot deal $30). Only negative is the GPS controlled carts. They malfunctioned all day due to "solar flares" I get the idea of keeping idiots from damaging the course driving carts where they shouldn't but wait till the technology is more reliable before you put such restrictions on the carts.

No one told us that we couldn’t go off the cart path. That lead us getting stuck and having to push the cart back on the cart path. The screen on the cart, kept telling us we were 10min back, then 20min, then 48min back. That’s what you create when you have to leave your cart, it’s not efficient. Even though it hadn’t rained in 2 days, the course was soaking wet. Due to the wetness, someone in my group, slipped in the mud.

Have played here in the past but first time this yr. Course wasn’t in conditions that it typically had been. Not sure if it is because of all the summer help going back to school . The carts were not cleaned either, a lot of debris in carts .

Left after 9 despite paying for 18. Wet, slow, play. No drainage. Ground was moving under my feet, slipped several times during swinging. Cut the grass when it was too wet and there was a mess everywhere. Slow the first 5 holes then fine for 4. Had 3 groups waiting at 10 when we rolled up.

Unfortunately, I did not get to play this course on this day as I booked my teatime for the wrong day. But the staff at the course and the staff at Golf Now we’re very accommodating and taking care of me. So hopefully I’ll get to play the course in the near future.

Greens were getting worked on but they played fine (the staff did a good job keeping them playable during the aeration process, great work all things considered). Staff were friendly as always. Big negative was the pace of play. I played a solo round and the front nine was okay but the back nine we were not moving. It would be 20-30 minutes almost between some shots. I packed it in early after 14 or 15 holes. This is the anomaly because I've played this course 4 or 5 times now and never had the pace of play issues like this time. Again, staff and course are great so definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Terrible cart paths and rude management.

Management is at least consistent.

Won't play here again

Course was soaked but considering the amount of rain in the morning it was in great shape. Will be going a third time.
